Abstract: One embodiment of a support system for a lift motor unit comprises a first frame comprising left and right first stanchions and a first beam extending laterally between and connected to the stanchions. The support system also includes a similar second frame. A first connector is connected to the first beam and a second connector is connected to the second beam. A rail is connected to the connectors. Another embodiment of the lift motor support system includes similar third and fourth frames and third and fourth connectors. A first rail is connected to the third and fourth connectors, and the rail between the first and second connectors is a second rail. A traverse rail is engaged with and longitudinally translatable along the first and second primary rails.

Abstract: A transport system for a medical facility includes a support apparatus including a frame assembly. The frame assembly includes a frame connector. A care cart assembly includes a cart connector selectively coupled with the frame connector. The care cart assembly includes a body defining receiving spaces that are configured to receive care modules. Wheels are coupled to the body and configured to engage an underlying floor surface. A power drive system includes a power drive wheel operable between a retracted position spaced from the underlying floor surface and a deployed position engaging the underlying floor surface. The care cart assembly is configured to drive movement of the support apparatus with the power drive system when coupled with the support apparatus and when the power drive wheel is engaging the underlying floor surface.

Abstract: A number of patient beds are disclosed. Some patient beds have siderails that are movable by a patient so that the patient can egress from the bed without interference from the siderails. Various caregiver control panels and patient control panels for controlling features and functions of a patient bed are also disclosed. For example, a cart with caregiver control inputs, including hand inputs on a graphical user interface (GUI) and foot inputs, is disclosed. Patient positioning and transfer devices are also disclosed. Various types of in-bed physical therapy devices are also disclosed.

Abstract: An incontinence detection system includes an incontinence detection pad for placement beneath a person to be monitored. The incontinence detection pad has a passive radio frequency identification (RFID) tag. A reader is provided and a plurality of antennae is coupled to the reader. The reader includes a bistatic radio frequency (RF) switch matrix which is operable to establish a first antenna of the plurality of antennae as a transmit antenna that is used to wirelessly energize the passive RFID tag and to establish a second antennae of the plurality of antennae as a receive antenna that is used to read backscattered data that may be emitted from the passive RFID tag. The first and second antennae are situated in respective housings that are spaced apart from each other. An arrangement of first and second electrodes on an electrical sheet of an incontinence pad is also provided.
