Abstract:
Disclosed herein are a method, an apparatus and a storage medium for image encoding/decoding using a binary mask. An encoding method includes generating a latent vector using an input image, generating a selected latent vector component set using a binary mask, and generating a main bitstream by performing entropy encoding on the selected latent vector component set. A decoding method includes generating a selected latent vector component set including one or more selected latent vector components by performing entropy decoding on a main bitstream and generating the latent vector in which the one or more selected latent vector components are relocated by relocating the selected latent vector component set in the latent vector.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are a video processing method, apparatus and storage medium using the resolution of a reference picture. Filtering is performed based on resolutions of reference pictures of blocks forming a boundary. The resolutions of the reference pictures may define filtering. Depending on whether the resolutions of the reference pictures are different from each other, one or more filter selection parameters for filtering may be determined or updated. Further, based on whether the resolutions of the reference pictures are different from each other, the boundary strength of the filter may be determined. Because filtering is defined using the resolutions of reference pictures, performance of encoding and/or decoding may be improved.
Abstract:
An encoding apparatus extracts features of an image by applying multiple padding operations and multiple downscaling operations to an image represented by data and transmits feature information indicating the features to a decoding apparatus. The multiple padding operations and the multiple downscaling operations are applied to the image in an order in which one padding operation is applied and thereafter one downscaling operation corresponding to the padding operation is applied. A decoding method receives feature information from an encoding apparatus, and generates a reconstructed image by applying multiple upscaling operations and multiple trimming operations to an image represented by the feature information. The multiple upscaling operations and the multiple trimming operations are applied to the image in an order in which one upscaling operation is applied and thereafter one trimming operation corresponding to the upscaling operation is applied.
Abstract:
The present research relates to controlling rendering of multi-object or multi-channel audio signals. The present research provides a method and apparatus for controlling rendering of multi-object or multi-channel audio signals based on spatial cues in a process of decoding the multi-object or multi-channel audio signals. To achieve the purpose, the method suggested in the research controls rendering in a spatial cue domain in the process of decoding the multi-object or multi-channel audio signals.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a method of selecting a relay node in a mobile ad-hoc network. The relay node selection method includes updating a neighbor node list based on messages received from one or more other nodes, and selecting a 1-hop neighbor node having a highest Multi-Point Relay (MPR) selector counter (MSC) value, from among one or more 1-hop neighbor nodes included in the updated neighbor node list, as an MPR node. Therefore, the present invention can prevent unnecessary channel competition and conflicts between nodes and improve network performance.
Abstract:
Provided are an apparatus and method for coding and decoding a multi-object audio signal. The apparatus includes a down-mixer for down-mixing the audio signals into one down-mixed audio signal and extracting supplementary information including header information and spatial cue information for each of the audio signals, a coder for coding the down-mixed audio signal, and a supplementary information coder for generating the supplementary information as a bit stream. The header information includes identification information for each of the audio signals and channel information for the audio signals.
