Proposed is an apparatus and method for providing Pack Data Unit (PDU) set information in a wireless communication system. In the wireless communication system, a method for operating a User Plane Function (UPF) includes a process of transmitting PDU Set-related information and information for indicating the PDU Set-related information to a Radio Access Network (RAN) through a GTP-U extension header. The information for indicating the PDU Set-related information includes a PDU type, a QOS Flow Identifier (QFI), a PDU Set Size Indicator (PSSI), an End Data Burst Indicator (EDBI), a PDU Set Sequence Number (PSSN), and a PDU Sequence Number within a PDU Set (PSN). The PDU Set-related information includes at least one of an End PDU of the PDU Set (EPDU), an End of Data Burst (EDB), a PDU Set Importance (PSI), and a PDU Set Size (PSSize).

Provided is a method of creating a QoS flow for a time synchronization protocol in a wireless communication network. A method of creating a QoS flow for a time synchronization protocol in a wireless communication network includes: receiving, by a Session Management Function (SMF), the PTP profile information from the UE, together with at least one of a DNN, a S-NSSAI information and a session ID for a Time Sensitive Communication (TSC) service; setting, by the SMF, a PCCrule of the QoS flow for the time synchronization protocol; providing, by the SMF, the QoS flow and a SDF filter information for the QoS flow to a User Plane Function (UPF); and providing, by the SMF, the QoS flow and a QoS rule filter to an Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF).

The present disclosure relates generally to a wireless communication system. More particularly, the present disclosure relates to an apparatus and a method for applying a service-based interface for user traffic processing in a wireless communication system. An operation method of a user plane function (UPF) in a wireless communication system includes: transmitting information on the UPF to a network repository function (NRF) to register a service of the UPF in the NRF, wherein the information on the UPF includes a universally unique identifier (UUID), and information on the service provided by the UPF; and receiving the information on the registered service of the UPF from the NRF.

The audience selection type augmented broadcasting service providing apparatus may include an augmented broadcast producing server to process a production process of augmented contents to provide the augmented broadcasting service, for broadcast contents, a broadcasting server to multiplex and transmit the broadcast contents and metadata for the augmented broadcasting service, and an augmented content receiving terminal to process the augmented contents based on the metadata for the augmented broadcasting service, while playing the broadcast contents.

In a method of receiving augmenting content, broadcast content and augmenting content are received from a broadcast content providing apparatus, metadata related to the broadcast content is interpreted to check an indicator indicating such that augmenting content are applicable, and augmenting content are requested from an augmenting content providing apparatus by using access information of the augmenting content providing apparatus. Thereafter, augmenting content are received from the augmenting content providing apparatus, and augmenting content received in the augmenting content receiving step are synchronized with the broadcast content and output to a temporal/spatial region corresponding to display region information included in the metadata or the display region information is transmitted to a separate output device. Thus, a viewer can conveniently receive area information-based augmenting content in the form of large capacity multimedia including a graphic image or video without having to perform searching.

An apparatus and method for directly exposing, by user plane function/network side-time sensitive networking translator (UPF/NW-TT), event result information to time sensitive networking (TSN) or time sensitive communication time synchronization function (TSCTSF) through service interface (Nupf) in wireless communication system. A method of operating event processing for TSN or TSC includes: when policy control function (PCF) performs TSC event subscription, receiving TSC management and control information for direct reporting notification of event result from TSN-application function or TSCTSF and transmitting the TSC management and control information to session management function (SMF); regenerating the TSC management and control information and transmitting the regenerated TSC management and control information to UPF/NW-TT through N4 interface; and receiving the TSC management and control information from SMF, and when a corresponding event occurs, transmitting the TSC management information including the event result to a target in the control information through SBI.

The SMF may receive a second message that is a response message to the first message from the UPF.

A traffic distribution method through a multi-access network in a network and a network entity performing the same are disclosed. An access and mobility management function (AMF) may receive a PDU session modification request message including an ATSSS (access traffic steering, switching, and splitting) preference, which is a preference for an ATSSS rule, from an user equipment (UE) when a multi-access PDU session (MA PDU session) is established and the UE desires to change the ATSSS rule corresponding to the established MA PDU session. The AMF may transmit a first message including the ATSSS preference to a session management function (SMF).

Provided is a random backoff apparatus and method for receiving augmented content that may prevent a delay or a down of a server caused by a plurality of receiving terminals accessing a server simultaneously, when a digital broadcasting system provides broadcast-based bidirectional broadcasting services over a communication network. That is, a technology for distributing receiving terminals accessing a server to receive augmented content, or accessing a home page of a corresponding program, based on metadata transferred from the digital broadcasting system to a broadcasting network. In a bidirectional digital method, a number of requests for access to the home page or the augmented content related to the program may be received from receiving terminals at one time. Accordingly, there is a desire for a method of preventing collision caused when a plurality of stations simultaneously access a single wireless channel.
