Abstract: Various methods, systems, and/or processes are described herein to create more sustainable configurations of wireless Access Points (APs), switches, and other network devices based upon network speed, client demand, among other factors. Clients may wirelessly couple to an AP using a variety of different technologies. The clients may be distributed over these frequency bands in an optimal manner allowing minimum use of transceiver power. The network link speed between the AP and the Ethernet switch may also be dynamically adjusted. These configurations may dynamically change over time as client demand or network traffic increases or decreases. In certain other configurations, the APs may have a higher wireless throughput than the ethernet connections to the network. In these instances, sustainable configurations can be achieved by powering down transceivers, radio chains, and/or processor cores. Traffic and other events may trigger the need for new sustainable configurations to be generated and applied.

Abstract: A method, computer system, and computer program product are provided for dynamic power saving for wireless access points. It is determined that a wireless client has not requested to connect to a first access point for a first threshold duration of time. Power is disabled to one or more front-end modules of a plurality of front-end modules associated with the first access point except for one designated front-end module that remains powered. Monitoring is performed for an incoming request to connect to the first access point. Power is restored to the one or more front-end modules of the plurality of front-end modules.

Abstract: A method in which a plurality of transmit signals are generated at data rates that are offset from each other by inserting an idle data block into a data stream for one or more transmit signals of the plurality of transmit signals to increase a data rate for the one or more transmit signals, thereby minimizing detectable electromagnetic interference at a particular frequency. Abstract: Systems and methods herein can convert downstream group addressed packets to unicast packets and send them to Workgroup Bridges (WGBs) by Downlink (DL) Multiple-User (MU) Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) (DL-MU-OFDMA). A Wireless Controller (WLC)/Access Point (AP) can extend current Inter-Access Point Protocol (IAPP) messages for broadcast and deploy Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) processing for multicast messages. The APs can maintain WGB entries for each group address. When there is a downstream broadcast packet received at the AP, the AP can search the entries in the domain and can build a 4-address unicast packet for each WGB, then transmit those converted packets in parallel by DL-OFDMA. After receiving those converted packets over the air, the WGB simply rebuilds 802.3 packets and forwards the 802.3 packets to the corresponding VLAN domain.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a device in a wireless network receives telemetry data from a plurality of autonomous vehicles. The telemetry data is indicative of radio signal quality metrics experienced by the vehicles at a particular location over time. The device forms an array of wireless roaming thresholds by applying regression to the telemetry data. The device computes an optimum roaming threshold from the array of wireless roaming thresholds to be used by the vehicles when approaching the location. The device triggers, based on the computed optimum threshold, one or more of the autonomous vehicles to initiate access point roaming when approaching the particular location.

Abstract: A tunnel endpoint of a virtual network monitors the flows between the tunnel endpoint and at least one other tunnel endpoint. The virtual network spans a physical network. A flow identifier for each flow is determined based on packet headers of packets in each respective flow. A path identifier for each flow is also determined based on the packet headers of the packets in each respective flow. Each path identifier indicates a route that the respective flow takes in the physical network to reach the respective destination tunnel endpoint. The path identifier and the flow identifier of the respective flows are then transmitted to a controller of the virtual network.
