Abstract: An example system includes an application processor (AP), a transceiver associated with a firmware layer and a controller. The controller is configured to perform operations that include receiving data representing a clock synchronization request from a remote device, such as a UWB clock synchronization request. The request is received by the transceiver over a wireless communication link. The controller generates a response to the synchronization request. The response is configured for synchronizing a remote clock of the remote device and a local clock of the mobile device. The controller sends, to the remote device by the transceiver, the response to the synchronization request.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein relate to reducing power consumption of an electronic device scanning for wireless communication signals while maintaining or even improving an efficiency of the scanning operations. To do so, the electronic device may include more than one scan core, such as a main core and a receiving core. The receiving core may have limited functionality compared to the main core. For example, the receiving core may only receive wireless signals (including scanning for wireless signals). That is, the receiving core may not support certain operations that consume relative high power that are supported by the main core, such as transmission of signals. In this way, operation of the receiving core, either in place of or in addition to the main core, may reduce power consumption of the electronic device by avoiding high power consuming operations, such as data transmission, while scanning for various signals.

Some aspects relate to an electronic device including a transceiver configured to communicate based on a short range communication protocol and a processor communicatively coupled to the transceiver. Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for access control operation between devices in a wireless communication system. An access device may store reader group identifier information for one or more reader devices. The access device may receive an advertisement indication from a reader device in a wireless manner. The advertisement indication may include a reader group identifier for the reader device. The access device may determine that the reader group identifier information stored by the access device includes the reader group identifier indicated by the reader device. The access device may attempt to perform access control communication exchange with the reader device based at least in part on determining that the reader group identifier information stored by the access device includes the reader group identifier indicated by the reader device.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods, systems, and computer-readable medium to perform operations for selecting a device to prioritize for a high power link. The operations include detecting, in proximity of a mobile device, a first and second available devices. The operations also include establishing a respective connection with each of the first and second available device using a first radio access technology (RAT). Further, the operations include determining, using the respective connections, one or more metrics associated with first available device and the second available device, where the one or metrics comprise a respective angle of arrival at the mobile device corresponding to the first available device and the second available device. Further, the operations include determining, based at least on the one or more metrics, to establish a high power link with the first available device using a second RAT, where the second RAT utilizes more power than the first RAT.

Abstract: In an example method, a mobile device establishes a first wireless communications link and a second wireless communications link with a second device, and determines that the second wireless communications link is not connected. Responsive to determining that the second wireless communications link is not connected, the mobile device attempts to reestablish the second wireless communications link with the second device according to a duty cycle that varies based at least on a characteristic associated with the first wireless communications link.
