Abstract: Systems and methods for using a relay user equipment (UE) to transport data of interest received from a first remote UE to a second remote UE on a UE to UE relay within a wireless communication system are discussed herein. These methods may be performed at Layer 2 of a protocol stack of the wireless communication system. Data packets sent on the UE to UE relay may include an adaptation header including routing information (e.g., Layer 2 addresses, a bearer-specific index, etc.) for the UE to UE relay. An adaptation layer may accordingly be provided within Layer 2 to decode these adaptation headers. In some cases, a per-bearer approach may be used to map between individual direct bearers of a hop by hop path configuration of the UE to UE relay. Embodiments eschewing the adaptation header and instead using logical channel identifiers (LCIDs) to make routing indications are also described.

Abstract: Improved solutions for reliable physical channel, e.g. Physical Downlink Shared Channel (PDSCH) reception during wireless communications, for example during 3GPP New Radio (NR) communications include continuous channel repetitions that cross slot boundaries, channel repetitions with multiple frequency hops, and joint-repetition channel estimation that uses demodulation reference signals from at least two channel repetitions for the channel estimation. In one aspect, reliable PDSCH reception may have the benefit of aiding target UEs and serving base stations in implementing reliable Multicast and Broadcast Services (MBS).

Abstract: A UE may coordinate the use of a low Power Wake-Up Radio (LR) and a main radio (MR) to determine a Radio Resource Management (RRM) measurement. The UE may enter a deep sleep state by turning off a MR and turning on a LR. The UE may measure the serving cell quality when in the deep sleep state, and enter a normal state by turning on the MR, when the serving cell quality is less than a threshold. The UE may perform a neighbor cell measurement, when in the normal state when a serving cell measurement meets a criteria.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for enhancement of MBMS transmission reliability. A UE may receive PDCP PDUs via a PTM link from a network. The UE may determine to provide feedback regarding receipt of the PDCP PDUs, e.g., based, at least in part, on an occurrence of a triggering event. The triggering event may be configured by the network and may include the UE receiving a request for feedback from the network, the UE determining that at least one PDCP PDU is missing, the UE determining that a number of missing PDCP PDUs exceeds a threshold, and/or the UE determining that a PDCP reordering window is changing based on expiration of a PDCP reordering timer. The UE may transmit feedback associated with receipt of the PDCP PDUs. The feedback may include an indication of missing PDCP PDUs, e.g., such as an indication of a sequence number associated with missing PDCP PDUs.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for user equipment device (UE) uplink antenna panel selection. The UE may determine, based on at least one condition, to perform a beam switch from a current beam being used for communications with a base station. The UE may transmit, to the base station, an indication of an antenna panel status that may include an indication of a latency associated with the beam switch. Abstract: Performing a UE-triggered lower layer-based handover may include performing measurements of source gNB CSI-RS samples associated with a source gNB. Measurements of target gNB CSI-RS samples associated with a target gNB may be performed, wherein the CSI-RS samples associated with the source gNB and the CSI-RS samples associated with the target gNB are transmitted in a burst structure. A subset of the source gNB CSI-RS samples and the target gNB CSI-RS samples may be filtered using a layer 1 or a layer 2 filter. A filtered result for each of the subset of source gNB CSI-RS samples and the subset of target gNB CSI-RS samples may be generated. Based on the generated filtered result for each of the subset of source gNB CSI-RS samples and the subset of target gNB CSI-RS samples, determining whether a handover from the source gNB to the target gNB is to occur.

Abstract: This disclosure relates to apparatuses and methods for providing and managing reception feedback for multicast and broadcast services (MBS). A base station (BS) may select and communicate, to a group of user equipment devices (UEs), configuration parameters for MBS communications, such as an indication of an MBS retransmission procedure for an MBS service. The BS may also transmit, to the group of UEs, an MBS data communication. A first UE may receive the MBS data communication, but may determine that the received MBS data communication is corrupted. The first UE may respond by transmitting, to the BS, a negative-acknowledgement (NACK) message. The BS may retransmit the MBS data communication either as an MBS transmission or as a unicast transmission, based on the configuration parameters. The first UE may monitor the appropriate resources to receive the retransmitted MBS data communication, based on the configuration parameters.

The relay UE establishes a first relay connection with a first remote device. The first relay connection relays communications between the first remote device and a network. The relay UE transmits a first message to the network to initiate the RNA update procedure for the first remote device, receives an acknowledgment message from the network including updated connection information for the first remote device, and transmits the updated connection information to the first remote device.
