Abstract:
A local network system interconnects computer devices, such as cash registers, scattered in a relatively small area. The local network system includes reception control element for determining the packet format of data received from a data transmission line and forming a response packet based on the result of the determination; a transmission control element for delivering data that is to be transmitted, or the response packet, in a prescribed packet format over the transmission line, and transmission and reception control elements for controlling the transfer of transmitted and received data between the reception and transmission control elements and terminal devices. Access to the transmission line, generation of packets, data buffering, retransmission control and other operations are effected not at high level or an application program level, but at the level of an interface or data transfer control apparatus that interconnects the terminal device serving as a main system.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for preventing or reducing contamination of a surface of a substrate, or protecting a surface of a substrate by making a surface of a substrate hydrophilic, by means of arranging, successively in relation to the substrate, a first layer containing a negatively-charged substance, and a second layer containing a positively-charged substance or containing a positively-charged substance and a negatively-charged substance on the surface of the substrate or in a surface layer of the substrate. In accordance with the present invention, a novel method for preventing or reducing adhesion of contaminants, and color degradation or color change of a substrate over time, can be provided.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an agent for increasing an amount of visible light transmitted by a light-transmissive substrate containing an organic silicon compound and an inorganic silicon compound, and a process for producing a highly light-transmissive substrate using the aforementioned agent for increasing an amount of transmitted visible light, as well as, a process for increasing an amount of visible light transmitted by a light-transmissive substrate characterized by forming a layer containing an organic silicon compound and inorganic silicon compound on the surface of a light-transmissive substrate.
Abstract:
A method for removing negatively-charged gas molecules includes the steps of: adsorbing negatively-charged gas molecules by a substrate carrying a positively-charged substance or a positively-charged substance and a negatively-charged substance on the surface of the substrate or in a surface layer of the substrate; and desorbing the aforementioned negatively-charged gas molecules adsorbed on the aforementioned substrate, from the substrate using a fluid. According to the present invention, negatively-charged gas molecules are removed or detoxified by adsorbing the same by a substrate carrying a positively-charged substance, or a positively-charged substance and a negatively-charged substance, on the surface of the substrate. Thereby, it is possible to provide a simple process by which negatively-charged gas molecules are able to be effectively and economically removed or detoxified.
Abstract:
Under the presence of at least one out of copper, manganese, nickel, cobalt, iron, zinc, and compounds thereof, a tetravalent titanium salt solution and a basic solution are reacted together to form a hydroxide of titanium and the above metal, and then the titanium hydroxide is peroxidated with an oxidizing agent to manufacture an aqueous liquid or dispersion having therein titanium oxide fine particles having peroxy groups; by using this alone to form a coating film adjacent to a coating film of an organic dye or pigment, or using this to form a coating film together with an organic dye or pigment, a drop in decorativeness of color due to fading or discoloration of a coating material, a printed article, a building material, a fiber, an organic polymer resin product or the like can be prevented, and moreover surface anti-soiling and hydrophilic properties can be realized.
Abstract:
The disclosure is directed to a data transmission system capable of transmitting any desired data between a plurality of terminal units connected to each other for transmitting and receiving a variety of data wherein it is characterized in that; as soon as one of these terminal units first detects a signal collision, the relevant collision signal is instantly sent to the transmission line, thus enabling all other units to correctly detect such a collision, and as a result, an overall system capability for correctly detecting any collision occurring in the transmission line can be improved significantly, resulting in the minimized error throughout data transmission operations.
