摘要： The present invention is directed to a method for localizing, in chromatin or DNA, the binding loci of a chromatin or DNA binding protein comprising the following steps: a) tethering, directly or indirectly, an enzyme with regulatable activity to said chromatin binding protein, b) transiently activating the regulatable enzymatic activity bound to the targeted chromatin and c) mapping the enzymatically-modified genomic sites introduced by the enzyme into the chromatin. According to an embodiment of the invention, the regulatable enzyme is a regulatable protease. The mapping step may be carried out on specific DNA fragments, or on a chromosome-wide scale or a genome-wide scale.The present invention is also directed to kits for carrying out the methods of the invention.

The impregnated porous body is heated to 120.degree. to 180.degree. C. to harden the resin. Carbonization of the body is effected by heating in an inert atmosphere at a rate of at least 3 K/hr to 800.degree.-1300.degree. C. Improved strength bodies are obtained with a single impregnation and single carbonizing step.

摘要： A ski is equipped with a binding alternatively suitable for cross country skiing and downhill skiing. A base plate is normally secured to the top face of the ski runner and a detent projects rearward from the plate. The front end of a boot carrier is pivoted to the corresponding end of the base plate so that its rear end can swing toward and away from a downhill skiing position near the base plate. A latch engages two transversely spaced, longitudinal guides on the carrier for movement toward and away from a position of engagement with the detent in which the engaged latch and detent prevent the carrier from swinging upward from the downhill skiing position as is necessary in cross country skiing.
