摘要: A circuit for amplifying and outputting a pulse width modulated (PWM) signal corresponding to an input audio signal with at least one output transistor and at least one protection control circuit. The protection control circuit compares a detected voltage and a threshold voltage. The detection voltage is a potential difference between a source and a drain of the output transistor. When the detection voltage exceeds the threshold voltage, the protection control circuit outputs a short circuit detection signal to the gate of the output transistor. As a result, the output transistor is turned OFF.

摘要: A magnetic disk device includes a magnetic head assembly, which includes magnetic heads, support plates, and a flexible wiring substrate that are integrally formed. The magnetic heads include heating elements for making head element parts protrude toward magnetic disks by thermal expansion, the support plate supports the magnetic head, the flexible wiring substrate is provided along the support plate and electrically connects the magnetic heads to a circuit system, and the magnetic head assembly and the magnetic disks are assembled in a case. The magnetic disk device includes a sensor and a floating distance control circuit. The sensor detects at least one of atmospheric pressure, temperature, and humidity in the case. The floating distance control circuit increases or decreases current supplied to the heating element on the basis of the output of the sensor and controls the floating distance of the magnetic head so that the floating distance is constant. While being received in a package made of high temperature co-fired ceramic, the sensor is mounted on a circuit mounting surface of the flexible wiring substrate in the case.

摘要: An image forming apparatus capable of reprinting image data once printed without requiring a server system for integrally managing image data is provided. A storage section individually provided in an image forming apparatus stores inputted image data, and an information generating section generates log information of the image data to record on an IC card outside the apparatus. Then, based on position information included in the log information, a data reading section specifies a storage section in which desired image data is stored among storage sections provided in a plurality of image forming apparatuses capable of implementing data communication, and reads the desired image data from the specified storage section.

摘要: In a signal detection circuit for an optical disk, a comparator converts an analog HF signal into a digital HF signal by using a slice level. A dropout detection circuit detects a dropout of the digital HF signal. A charge-pump circuit feeds back a slice-level control voltage to the comparator based on a result of the detection by the dropout detection circuit. A voltage follower holds and outputs a voltage stored in the capacitor. A switch is turned OFF when a dropout signal has been detected, and outputs to the voltage follower the voltage that has been stored in the capacitor during an ON state of the switch. A second switch is turned ON when a dropout signal has been detected, and applies an output of the voltage follower to the comparator.

摘要: A security system, including a cable having a groove formed in the inside thereof to accommodate therein an optical fiber with an excessive length, a plurality of supports having mandrels to support the optical cable so as to provide a fence, a light transmitter to inject light into one end of the optical cable and a light receiver to detect the light projecting out of the other end of the optical cable so that any transmission loss through the optical cable due to an intrusion of the fence may be measured. The cable is formed so that when tension is applied to the optical cable, a transmission loss is detected. The resulting system has a threshold capability which distinguishes valid from false intrusions.
