摘要： The invention relates to a two-stroke engine for a portable handheld work apparatus such as a motor-driven chain saw, cutoff machine, brushcutter or the like. A crankcase (4) is formed below the engine cylinder (2). A piston (5) moves up and down in the cylinder (2) and drives a crankshaft (7) rotatably journalled in the crankcase (4). A fuel-containing mixture is supplied via a membrane carburetor (8) to the combustion chamber (3) delimited between the piston (5) and the cylinder (2). A bypass channel (22) is provided parallel thereto and supplies essentially fuel-free air to the combustion chamber (3). The bypass channel (22) opens into a channel segment (21) via a connecting piece (24) fixedly attached to the cylinder (2). The channel segment (21) is formed in the cylinder wall (16). A spark plug (20) and an ignition control device (34) are assigned to the combustion chamber (3). The ignition control device (34) is fixedly mounted with a portion to the cylinder (2) via one attachment point (40) and is fixedly mounted to the connecting piece (24) via another attachment point (41).

摘要： An exhaust gas muffler for an internal combustion engine, especially in a manually guided implement such as a power chain saw and the like, is provided. The muffler has a housing having an inlet opening and an outlet for engine exhaust gas. An essentially cylindrical spark killer screen is fixed in position at a wall opening of the muffler housing that forms the outlet. The spark killer screen projects into the interior of the muffler housing. Adjoining the spark killer screen on the outer side of the muffler housing as an extension of the cylindrical spark killer screen is an exhaust gas pipe. This pipe is provided with threads and serves as a fastening device with which the spark killer screen and the exhaust gas pipe, as a fire protector, are fixed in position in the wall opening of the muffler housing.

摘要： A hedge clipper is provided that has an internal combustion engine that is to be started by hand. By means of a clutch and a gear mechanism, the engine drives cutting blades in a reciprocating manner; the cutting blades are guided and held in a cutter bar. Disposed on the output side of the clutch is a brake drum around which extends a brake band. The first end of the brake band is fixed to the housing, and the second end of the brake band is held on a pivotable brake lever that is acted upon by a brake spring that urges the brake band into engagement against the brake drum. The brake lever can be moved into an inoperative position of the band brake by a release lever against the force of the brake spring. The release lever cooperates with an adjusting cam that is disposed directly adjacent to the brake lever and in the inoperative position of the band brake forms a rest stop for the brake lever, receiving the force of the brake spring.
