摘要： A latch arrangement for fastening a panel of a door or a window to a frame element, the panel including a depression is provided. The latch arrangement includes a locking element pivotally mounted on the frame element and displaceable between a locked position in which the locking element is engaged with the depression of the panel locking thereby the panel to the frame element, and an unlocked position in which the locking element is disengaged from the depression of the panel unlocking thereby the panel from the frame element, a stop latch selectively deployable to secure the locking element in the locked position, precluding thereby displacement of the locking element to the unlocked position; and an actuating mechanism configured to selectively pivot the locking element away from the depression to the unlocked position.

摘要： A door or window assembly includes an opening bounded by a frame including a hinge jamb (12). A panel (18) is hung relative to the hinge jamb via a hinge arrangement (20) so as to swing between an open position and a closed position. An engagement configuration includes a ledge (22) located in fixed relation to the hinge jamb, and a flange (24) rigidly associated with the panel. The engagement configuration allows me panel to swing freely between open and closed positions. in the closed position, the flange (24) is brought into facing relation with the ledge (22) such that force directed to displace the panel (18) within the plane of closure away from the hinge jamb (12) acts to bring the flange into engagement with the ledge.

摘要： A panel closure apparatus has a panel (14) for closing against a strike jamb (12). A locking element (100) is displaceable between a released position and a locked position in which contact surfaces (102, 104) of the locking element and the panel prevent opening of the panel, and are configured so that force applied to open the panel does not generate a force to disengage the locking element. Locking element (100) has an input surface (108) deployed so as to be displaced by an actuating surface (110) of panel (14) during a closing motion of the panel from the open position to the closed position. Input surface (108) moves as a unit with locking element (100) so that displacement of the input surface by the closing motion of the panel displaces the locking element towards the locked position.
