    摘要: An integrated differential high power amplifier-radiator array that overcomes the prior art impedance match issues is described. An impedance matching balun is used to feed a high output impedance, differential HPA, which in turn drives a wide band radiator or array of radiators having a matching input impedance to provide a highly efficient, compact transmit system. In one exemplary embodiment, the HPA may be a high impedance Class-B HPA configured as a push-pull cascode amplifier. A high impedance isolator or circulator may be used between the HPA and the radiator. One of ordinary skill in the art will readily appreciate that a receive implementation, using a properly matched low noise amplifier in place of the HPA, is also possible. Similarly, with the addition of a slotline circulator, transceiver operation is also attainable with the addition of an impedance matched receive chain.

    摘要: A mechanism to support remote mirroring of storage devices by data storage systems in a one-to-many switched environment. Each data storage system includes a disk director that is adapted to control at least one device group that is supported in a mirrored configuration with a corresponding device group controlled by one of the other data storage systems. For each device group and corresponding device group, there are first ports associated with the device group and second ports associated with the corresponding device group. A switch element is adapted to connect one of the first ports to at least one of the second ports so that data may be exchanged between the ports for each device group and corresponding device group. The disk director selects which first port is to be connected to which second port via the switch element in the establishment of a logical link. Thus, each port connected to the switch is capable of achieving multiple connections to multiple destinations for increased connectivity, redundancy and performance (load balance) without additional hardware.

    摘要: A method for estimating the fall through time of a cache includes maintaining local statistics associated with each data cache slot replaced by a processor, reading from a memory global statistics related to each data cache slot replaced by a plurality of processors, calculating new global statistics, and estimating a fall through time of the cache in response to the global statistics at a predetermined rate. When the global statistics are the result of at least a threshold number of data cache slots having been replaced, the new global statistics are calculated by weighting the global statistics by a factor of less than one and adding the weighted global statistics to the local statistics. When the global statistics are not the result of at least a threshold number of data cache slots having been replaced, the new global statistics are calculated by adding a time related to the lapsed time to a global sum value associated with the time stamp difference of the replaced data cache slots. In a multi-processor computer system, each of the processors accesses the global memory to update the global statistics at a different time. The fall through time is estimated continuously at a first predetermined rate and the global statistics are updated at a second predetermined rate that, in one embodiment, is a multiple of the first predetermined rate.
