Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for multi-path end-to-end connectivity in a wireless communication system. A BS apparatus includes a processor configured to identify congestion in the wireless communication network experienced by the BS. The processor is further configured to generate congestion feedback information indicating the congestion in the wireless communication network. The BS also includes a transceiver operably connected to the processor. The transceiver is configured to transmit the congestion feedback information to at least one other BS in the wireless communication network. The processor is configured to identify multiple of the paths that respective portions of the data are split between to be transferred between a gateway and a UE. The multiple paths are determined based at least in part on the congestion feedback information. The transceiver is configured to transfer, via the wireless communication network based on the identified multiple paths, data between the UE and the gateway.

The method also includes selecting a power management method from one of: a predictive transmit power method based on time and the distance between the UE and an NTN entity or a non-predictive transmit power method. The method also includes determining a power based on the power management method and the power management parameters. The method further includes transmitting a signal to the reception point using the power.

Abstract: A synchronization signal block (SSB) including a primary synchronization signal (PSS), a secondary synchronization signal (SSS), a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) is transmitted using first and second beams. One or more symbols adjoining the first and second synchronization signals are configured to accommodate a beam switching time. At least one signal indicates a beam index for the first beam transmitting the first synchronization signal, and the beam index for the second beam transmitting the second synchronization signal is either signaled or determined based on a predetermined relationship between a resource for the first synchronization signal and a resource for the second synchronization signal. The beam indices may comprise first and second numbers of bits and/or may be jointly encoded. The beam indices may be indicated by one of the PSS, the SSS, the PBCH, a demodulation reference signal (DMRS), or a synchronization or reference signal designated for that purpose.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided in which at least one parameter associated with a sidelink transmission is received from a base station. It is identified whether an uplink transmission is scheduled in a transmission time interval (TTI) in which a sidelink transmission to a second terminal is scheduled. The sidelink transmission is transmitted to the second terminal in the TTI in case that no uplink transmission is scheduled in the TTI. The sidelink transmission is transmitted based on a smaller transmission power value from two transmission power values.

Abstract: Apparatuses (including base stations and terminals), systems, and methods for supporting both wideband and narrowband communications are described. In one aspect, a base station supporting first type terminals operating on a first bandwidth and second type terminals operating on a second bandwidth is described, having an information formatter, a transceiver, and a controller. The information formatter generates a Low-end Master Information Block (L-MIB) and a Low-end System Information Block (L-SIB), which are transmitted by the transceiver to first type and second type terminals. The L-MIB includes control information on an L-subframe configuration for supporting a second type terminal and a sub-band configuration of the L-subframe, while the L-SIB includes information on downlink reception and uplink transmission of the second type terminal. When the base station receives a Random Access Channel (RACH) preamble request from one of the terminals, the base station performs the random access procedure.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for operating a subframe and transmitting channel information for controlling interference in a communication system are provided. If a macro evolved Node B (eNodeB) determines and reports an uplink protection subframe for suppressing uplink transmission to a neighboring eNodeB, transmits scheduling information for uplink data through a downlink subframe corresponding to an uplink protection subframe, and the uplink protection subframe determined by the neighboring eNodeB is reported, a small eNodeB sets the reported uplink protection subframe as a flexible subframe, and uses the flexible subframe for downlink transmission. If the flexible subframe is used for the downlink transmission, a terminal of the small eNodeB measures and transmits non-period channel information in the flexible subframe through at least one uplink subframe.

Abstract: Devices and methods for inter-network access management in an shared spectrum wireless communication systems. A method for a method for operating a network entity in a wireless communication system of shared spectrum resources includes transmitting, to a set of neighbor network entities in the wireless communication system, a coordination request message indicating an intended transmission power for a data transmission by the network entity; and receiving, from at least one of the set of neighbor network entities, a coordination response message in response to the coordination request message. The method further includes determining resources of the shared spectrum resources to use for the data transmission based on the intended transmission power and the coordination response message; and transmitting, to at least one terminal in a cell of the network entity, the data transmission based on the determined resources.
