    Abstract: An image decoding method includes: deriving a refined L0 motion vector and a refined L1 motion vector by applying decoder-side motion vector refinement (DMVR) based on an L0 motion vector and an L1 motion vector of a current block, deriving prediction samples for the current block based on L0 prediction samples derived based on the refined L0 motion vector and L1 prediction samples derived based on the refined L1 motion vector, and generating reconstructed samples for the current block based on the prediction samples. The L0 prediction samples are derived based on an L0 reference picture and the refined L0 motion vector, and the L1 prediction samples are derived based on an L1 reference picture and the refined L1 motion vector, and deriving the prediction samples comprises determining whether to apply bi-directional optical flow (BDOF) process based on a first POC difference and a second POC difference are the same.

    Abstract: An image decoding method, according to the present document, may comprise the steps of: deriving transform coefficients for a current block on the basis of residual information; determining whether a significant coefficient is present in a second region excluding a first region in the top-left end of the current block; parsing a LFNST index from a bitstream if the significant coefficient is not present in the second region; deriving modified transform coefficients by applying a LFNST matrix, derived on the basis of the LFNST index, to transform coefficients of the first region; and deriving residual samples of the current block on the basis of an inverse primary transform of the modified transform coefficients.

    Abstract: An image decoding method includes: acquiring a multiple transform selection (MTS) index and residual information from a bitstream; deriving transform coefficients for the current block on the basis of the residual information; and generating residual samples of the current block on the basis of the MTS index and the transform coefficients, wherein the MTS index indicates a transform kernel set to be applied to the current block among transform kernel set candidates, at least one bin among bins of a bin string of the MTS index is derived on the basis of context coding, the context coding is performed on the basis of values of increase and decrease in a context index pertaining to the MTS index, and a single value of increase and decrease in the context index can be used for the context coding of the first bin among the bins of the bin string.
