Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for recognizing earphone insertion are provided. In the method, whether an earphone is inserted is determined. When earphone insertion is determined, a discontinuous Direct Current (DC) voltage is applied to a microphone end of an earphone jack. A magnitude of the discontinuous DC voltage of the earphone jack is determined. Whether the earphone jack is a three-pole earjack or a four-pole earjack is determined depending on the determined magnitude of the discontinuous DC voltage. Therefore, erroneous recognition of the earphone insertion may be prevented.
Abstract:
A display device is provided. The display device comprises a display panel. The display device further comprises a transparent film disposed on the display panel and a buffer layer having an adhesive characteristic interposed between the transparent film and the second plate.
Abstract:
In a two-way backlight assembly and a two-way LCD apparatus, the two-way backlight assembly provides light emitted from one light source to a first direction where a main LCD panel is placed and to a second direction where a sub LCD panel is placed. Also, a sub mold part for receiving the sub LCD panel comprises a black-colored material so as to prevent reflection of the light. Accordingly, thickness and power consumption of the backlight assembly may be reduced and display quality may be also improved by preventing leakage of the light at ends of the sub LCD panel.
Abstract:
The present invention related to a method for crystallizing a CMY-10 being a β-lactamase with extended-substrate spectrum, a crystal of CMY-10, and a crystal structure of CMY-10. With utilization of three-dimensional structure of CMY-10 protein provided by the present invention, it is possible to develop novel antibiotics or inhibitors that can prevent an emergence of resistance bacteria appeared by plasmidic class C β-lactamases having extended-substrate specificity.
Abstract:
An electronic device and data control method are provided. The electronic device includes a connector which is connected to an external storage medium storing media data therein; an identification unit which identifies a storage identifier (ID) of the external storage medium connected to the connector; and a controller which performs a media function corresponding to the media data stored in the external storage medium whose storage ID is identified by the identification unit.
Abstract:
A semiconductor device includes a plurality of input units configured to receive a plurality of data, a plurality of latching units configured to latch output signals of the plurality of input units in response to a plurality of synchronization clock signals, and a synchronization clock generating unit configured to delay a source clock signal by a time corresponding to each of signal transmission times taken between the plurality of input units and the plurality of latching units, thereby generating the plurality of synchronization clock signals.

Abstract:
Disclosed is a moon grid for transmission electron microscopy tomography, including a mesh sheet for protecting an upper objects and a support film formed on the mesh sheet and having nanoparticles dispersed throughout, in which the nanoparticles dispersed throughout the support film are used as reference points in the reconstruction of two-dimensional transmission electron microscopy images into a three-dimensional image, thus omitting a process of attaching markers in the course of preparation of a sample and easily forming reference points even on a sample to which it is impossible to attach markers. A method of fabricating such a moon grid is also provided.
Abstract:
A touch screen module which includes an LCD panel working as a touch screen, a protector window disposed over the LCD panel, and an adhesive to affix the protector window to the LCD panel. The LCD panel may be a hybrid Touch Screen Pad (hTSP) type touch screen and have a first substrate comprising a first surface on which a plurality of switching elements are formed, a second substrate comprising a second surface that faces the first surface, and liquid crystal material disposed between the first surface and the second surface. The protector window may have a plurality of pressing patterns on a third surface facing the second substrate. In operation, pressure from a touch applied to the protector window engages the pressing patterns against the second substrate, transferring touch pressure to the second substrate as well.
Abstract:
A flat panel display device includes a display module, a protection window member and a layer disposed in an area between the protection window member and a display area of the display module. The protection window member includes a stepped portion within which the layer is disposed. The stepped portion may include a recess or a plurality of layers.
