Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure describe receiving control data for a slot of a first wireless service, where the control data indicates one or more partial slots of the slot that are intended for communications of the first wireless service. An indicator indicating whether data of the first wireless service is transmitted over at least one of the one or more partial slots can be received at a different time than the control data. The data of the first wireless service over the at least one of the one or more partial slots can be decoded based at least in part on the indicator.

The method generally includes receiving, from a base station (BS), scheduling information scheduling the first UE for communication, with the BS, according to a first communications service type, receiving signaling indicating a second UE is scheduled for communication with the BS according to a second communications service type, and communicating with the BS according to the first communications service type at a reduced transmission power relative to a transmission power used for communicating according to the second communications service type.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides for enhanced pipeline processing using different timing characteristics for aggregated carriers. A receiving device may receive a first component carrier and a second component carrier from a transmitting device during a subframe including a first set of symbols on the first component carrier and a second set of symbols on the second component carrier. The first component carrier may be a priority component carrier having a different timing characteristic than the second component carrier. The receiving device may process, using a hardware processing pipeline, the first set of symbols interleaved with the second set of symbols. The receiving device may transmit an acknowledgment, within the subframe, based on the processing of at least all of the first set of symbols.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for encoding and decoding are described. To encode a vector, an encoder allocates information bits of the vector to channel instances of a channel that are separated into groups. The groups may vary in size and allocation of the information bits is based on a base sequence of a given length. During decoding, a decoder assigns different bit types to channels instances by dividing a codeword into a plurality of groups and assigning bit types to channel instances of the plurality of groups using the base sequence.

Abstract: Techniques are described herein to terminate a list decoding operation before its completion based on performing one or more error check processes. A transmitted codeword encoded using a polar code may include one or more error check vectors interspersed with one or more information vectors. Upon receiving the codeword, a decoder may perform a list decoding operation on the received codeword. Upon decoding one of the error check vectors, the decoder may determine whether at least one candidate path used in the successive cancellation list decoding operation passes an error check process based on the error check vector. If no candidate paths satisfy the error check process, the decoder may terminate the list decoding operation. In some examples, the decoder may recheck whether candidate paths satisfy the error check operation at intermediate positions between error check vectors. Such rechecking may occur while decoding information vectors.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides for adaptive resource management in new radio operations that favors the usage of resources for pilot signals and channel estimation in the transition slots of a slot burst, and the transmission of data in the subsequent slots of the slot burst. A device such as a user equipment (UE) and/or a base station may determine that the UE is operating in a transition state. The device may adapt a first numerology including a first number of symbols per slot used for transmission in the transition slots during the transition state, to a second scaled numerology including a second number of symbols per slot used for transmission in the subsequent slots after the transition state. A ratio of reference signal symbols to data symbol symbols may be greater in the transition slots than in the subsequent slots.

The UE may receive a plurality of transmissions according to the first sub-slot periodicity in a first slot, wherein the first sub-slot periodicity enables receiving the plurality of transmissions within a single slot. The UE may transmit hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) information in a second slot, wherein the second slot includes a plurality of physical uplink control channels (PUCCHs) with a second sub-slot periodicity, and wherein the HARQ-ACK information is associated with the plurality of transmissions.
