Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive first configuration information indicating a first guard interval associated with sidelink communications. The UE may transmit, to a base station and another UE, a first sidelink communication using the first guard interval. The UE may transmit, to the base station and using a second guard interval having a second length that is different from a first length of the first guard interval, an uplink communication. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitting device may determine a phase noise profile and may transmit the phase noise profile to a receiving device. The receiving device may use the phase noise profile and received phase tracking reference signals to more accurately determine phase errors on a wireless channel between the two devices and compensate for the phase noise errors. In examples where the UE transmits the phase noise profile to the base station, the UE may include the phase noise profile in a measurement report or in a radio resource control (RRC) message, among other examples. In examples where the base station transmits the phase noise profile to a UE, the base station may include the phase noise profile in a broadcast message, a unicast message, or an RRC message.

Abstract: A wireless device (e.g., a UE or a base station) may generate a hybrid symbol including a CP portion, a data portion, and at least one of a header portion or a tail portion. The CP portion may be located at a beginning of the hybrid symbol, and may include one or more CP samples that correspond to a predefined number of samples at an end of the hybrid symbol. The data portion may be located after the header portion or before the tail portion. The header portion may be located after the CP portion, and may include one or more predefined header samples. The tail portion may be located at the end of the hybrid symbol, and may include one or more predefined tail samples. The wireless device may generate a waveform including the generated hybrid symbol. The wireless device may transmit a signal based on the generated waveform.

Abstract: Various aspects relate to adjusting communication timing in response to a switch from one feeder link to another feeder link in a non-terrestrial network. For example, when a satellite moves out of the coverage area of a first ground network entity (or if the first ground network entity is turned off), the satellite switches to a second ground network entity. The resulting switch from a first feeder link for the first ground network entity to a second feeder link for the second ground network entity may cause a timing glitch that adversely affects the UEs under the coverage of the satellite. The disclosure relates in some aspects to sending an indication of the switch and/or a common timing adjust command to all of the UEs affected by the feeder link switch.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described in which random access preambles may be designed to provide for relatively low inter-carrier interference (ICI) of adjacent available frequency resources in a non-terrestrial network (NTN). Random access preambles for NTN random access requests may be selected from a first set of random access preambles that are different from a second set of random access preambles for terrestrial random access requests. The first set of random access preambles may be a subset of the second set of random access preambles. The first set of random access preambles may be provided for contention-based random access (CBRA) and contention-free random access (CFRA) preambles may be configured by a base station from random access preambles that correspond to or are different from the second set of random access preambles.

Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer-readable media for coexistence of multiple uplink control channel formats for wireless communication with power spectral density limitation are disclosed herein. A user equipment (UE) may communicate, with a base station (BS) over a random access channel on a first set of random access resources or a second set of random access resources, a random access request based on a comparison between an intended transmit power of the random access request and a reference transmit power threshold. The UE may transmit the first PRACH preamble as part of a random access procedure based at least in part on the PRACH preamble configuration, wherein transmitting the first PRACH preamble enables a determination of a symbol boundary offset. The UE may transmit the second PRACH preamble as part of the random access procedure based at least in part on the PRACH preamble configuration, wherein transmitting the second PRACH preamble enables a determination of a symbol timing offset. Abstract: Method and apparatus for PTRS for OTFS waveforms. The apparatus measures a PTRS using an OTFS including a delay-Doppler domain. The OTFS includes a plurality of symbols in the delay-Doppler domain based on the PTRS. A first symbol of the plurality of symbols includes a first PTRS resource sample having a first value in the delay-Doppler domain. A second symbol of the plurality of symbols includes a second PTRS resource sample having a second value in the delay-Doppler domain. The first PTRS resource sample is adjacent to the second PTRS resource sample. The apparatus performs phase noise tracking for a data channel based on the measured PTRS.
