Abstract: A reference signal periodically transmitted by a base station in a wireless network can have certain proprietary properties to help prevent detection and utilization of the signal for unauthorized positioning of mobile devices. More specifically, a network node can obscure and introduce time-variation in mapping between positioning signals and a corresponding physical base stations. The network node may also introduce time variations in fields of a base station almanac (BSA) provided to subscribing user equipments (UEs). The information transmitted to the subscribing UEs may be encrypted.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for avoiding transmission configuration indication (TCI) reselection (e.g., due to some bandwidth part (BWP) switching scenarios). An exemplary method generally includes configuring a UE with TCI state information for communication via multiple BWPs, wherein the TCI state information indicates quasi co-location (QCL) assumptions of at least first and second types and determining whether to reconfigure the TCI state of the UE to reflect a BWP switch, based on one or more rules that define BWP switching for reference signals (RSs) of at least one of the QCL assumption types without TCI state reconfiguration. Other aspects and embodiments are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Wireless positioning accuracy of a user equipment (UE) is impacted by locations of the transmit/receive points (TRPs) and UE for wireless positioning. To improve the accuracy of estimated locations, a geometric dilution of precision (GDOP) may be determined for different groups of candidate TRPs, with the GDOP indicating a potential positioning error associated with the group of candidate TRPs. A UE may determine GDOPs for different combinations of candidate TRPs. One or more devices of a wireless network (e.g., a location server and/or a UE for positioning) may select or exclude one or more candidate TRPs from being used for wireless positioning of a UE based on the determined GDOPs. Exclusion or selection of candidate TRPs for wireless positioning may also be based on quality measurements of PRSs (such as an RSRP or SNR) or a time duration associated with measuring the PRSs from the candidate TRPs to be selected.

The method includes monitoring, during a second time interval, while the user equipment is in the RRC inactive state, one or more second bandwidth parts having a second bandwidth to perform a second operation. The second bandwidth is different than the first bandwidth.

Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for using a channel state information (CSI) report framework to support positioning measurements in a wireless network. More particularly, a base station may identify one or more reference signal resources to be transmitted to a user equipment (UE) for obtaining at least one positioning measurement and configure the reference signal resources to be transmitted at least partially outside a current bandwidth that the base station and the UE are using to communicate data and control information. Accordingly, the base station may transmit, to the UE, a CSI report setting that indicates the positioning measurement to be reported and specifies that the positioning measurement is to be obtained from the configured reference signal resources.

A method for a wireless communication that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving signaling configuring the UE with a beam indication set. The method includes receiving an indication to apply the configured beam indication set to multiple bandwidth parts (BWPs) and/or multiple component carriers (CCs). The method includes applying the beam indication set to a BWP or CC based on the indication. The beam indication set may be for uplink or downlink communications. The beam indication set may be a transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state set or spatial relation set. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a request to transmit a channel state information (CSI) report relating to a channel quality of a target time interval. The UE may receive a plurality of CSI reference signals associated with the CSI report. The UE may determine respective CSI parts for one or more sub-time intervals of the target time interval based at least in part on the plurality of CSI reference signals. The UE may prioritize one or more of the CSI parts based at least in part on respective time indices associated with the one or more sub-time intervals. The UE may transmit a subset of the CSI parts based at least in part on prioritizing the CSI parts. Numerous other aspects are provided.

In an aspect, a UE receives, from a network entity, a notification of a plurality of DC tones of a plurality of network nodes, receives, from the plurality of network nodes, a plurality of positioning signals, and determines a plurality of positioning related measurements of the plurality of positioning signals based on locations of the plurality of DC tones indicated in the notification.
