Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support mechanisms for enabling sidelink demodulation reference signal (DMRS) bundling in a wireless communication system. In aspects, a transmitting user equipment (UE) may be configured for sidelink communication with a receiving UE, and a sidelink DMRS transmission may be determined to be transmitted from the transmitting UE to the receiving UE. In aspects, determining whether to enable bundling of the sidelink DMRS transmission from the transmitting UE to the receiving UE or not (e.g., whether to enable or to forego enabling bundling of the sidelink DMRS transmission) may be determined in accordance with various aspects of the present disclosure.

Abstract: A UE may be configured for half-duplex communications. An access point may configure half-duplex UEs for efficient resource utilization using two or more different half-duplex configurations that include different timing for channels in different directions. A UE may determine a half-duplex configuration for use in communicating with the access point, each slot of the half-duplex configuration including at least a PDCCH on a downlink frequency and an uplink short burst on an uplink frequency, and each slot associated with a HARQ timeline. The UE may determine a direction for a slot. The UE may transmit or receive according to the direction for the slot and the half-duplex configuration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. For example, a communication device may receive control signaling (e.g., a broadcasted control signal) from another communication device. The control signaling may indicate beam information for one or more beams of a set of beams. The one or more beams may correspond to the serving cell or one or more neighboring cells. The beam information may include one or more metrics associated with each of the one or more beams. As such, the communication device may determine that a metric associated with each of the one or more beams satisfies a threshold, select the beam, and communicate using the selected beam. In some other examples, the beam-specific information may include beam measurement offsets for one or more beams. In such examples, the communication device may select a beam based on the beam measurement offsets and perform communications using the selected beam.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, via first frequency ranges and first time periods, a plurality of sidelink control blocks that each indicate a sidelink positioning reference signal burst pattern for one or more sidelink UEs. The UE may receive, within a second frequency range and during a second time period, a plurality of multiplexed sidelink positioning reference signals from the one or more sidelink UEs in accordance with the sidelink positioning reference signal burst patterns. The UE may determine a position of the UE based at least in part on the receiving of the plurality of multiplexed sidelink positioning reference signals.

Abstract: Enhanced channel state information (CSI) feedback is disclosed for full dimensional multiple input, multiple output (FD-MIMO) operations. In one aspect, a single CSI process is defined that is configured with an azimuth and elevation CSI-reference signal (RS) ports. A user equipment (UE) will send a precoding matrix indictor (PMI) report including a precoding matrix indicator (PMI) for the azimuth ports and a PMI for the elevation ports. One of the PMIs is assigned a low rank. The base station will use the two PMIs to create a whole channel precoding matrix. In another aspect, a single CSI process is configured having a plurality of CSI-RS resources. The UE generates channel measurement information for each of the CSI-RS resources, but only sets a CSI report to the base station of a subset of the total number of resources.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive information identifying an offset between a start of a frame on a first component carrier and a start of a frame on a second component carrier, wherein the first component carrier is one of a primary cell (PCell) or a secondary cell (SCell), and wherein the second component carrier is the other of the PCell or the SCell; determine that a slot on the first component carrier is aligned with a slot on the second component carrier; identify the slot on the second component carrier in accordance with the offset; and communicate on the first component carrier or the second component carrier based at least in part on the start of the slot on the second component carrier. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described to enable a user equipment (UE) to determine a rate-matching scheme or a feedback scheme for overlapping downlink transmission resources. A collision handling scheme may enable the UE to de-rate match a second, higher priority downlink shared channel independent of another rate-matching pattern or indicator for other shared channels, such as a first, overlapping downlink shared channel. The UE may determine to de-rate match the second channel around resources indicated within control signaling or higher-layer signaling associated with the second channel. The collision scheme may provide for the UE to generate an acknowledgement bit for feedback for one or more portions of the first channel that are preempted by the second channel and generate other feedback for non-preempted portions. A base station may keep track of preempted resources and may retransmit preempted portions of the first channel.

For example, the method may include generating a group of binary data bits for resources of each layer of a plurality of layers, mapping the group of binary data bits of each layer of the plurality of layers to respective code words in a signal constellation, combining the code words, and transmitting the combined code word to receiver in the wireless network. As such, the multilayer transmission in a wireless network is achieved.

Abstract: Different sets of downlink control information (DCI) fields may be configured for DCI that includes an indication to trigger bandwidth part switching at a user equipment (UE). For example, a UE may receive DCI that triggers the UE to switch operation from a first bandwidth part to a second bandwidth part. The UE may also identify a set of transformable DCI fields and a set of non-transformable DCI fields within the DCI. The UE may then determine updated content of the DCI for application to the second bandwidth part based on whether DCI fields are included in the set of transformable or the set of non-transformable fields. In some cases, the UE may identify a null assignment in the received DCI and may switch its operation from the first bandwidth part to the second bandwidth part based on the null assignment.
