Abstract: Apparatus, methods, and computer readable media for facilitating of measuring occasions for transmissions based on frequency division multiplexing and spatial division multiplexing are disclosed herein. An example method for wireless communication at a UE includes receiving, from a base station, a hopping pattern indication configuring a hopping pattern. The example method also includes measuring interference of respective CSI-RS transmitted to other UEs included in a UE group based on at least the hopping pattern indication. The example method also includes reporting the measured interference to the base station. An example method for wireless communication at a base station includes transmitting a hopping pattern indication to each of a plurality of UEs. The example method also includes transmitting reference signals for the plurality of UEs using the hopping pattern among multiple subbands, and receiving a report of interference measured by each of the plurality of UEs based on the reference signals.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for beam-based channel access procedures. A base station (BS) or a user equipment (UE) may be scheduled to perform a transmission on a plurality of beams, and may perform a channel access procedure for the plurality of beams to determine an availability of the plurality of beams. In some implementations, the BS or the UE may determine that a channel access procedure is successful for a subset of the plurality of beams. In such implementations, the BS or the UE may perform the transmission on a subset of the plurality of beams for which the channel access procedure is determined to be successful or may perform the transmission after determining that the channel access procedure is successful for the plurality of beams. In either case, the approaches may decrease the likelihood that the transmission will be dropped or undecodable at a receiver.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for making multi-transmission configuration indicator (TCI) state data scheduling more reliable. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving, from a base station (BS), a first signal indicative of a plurality of demodulation reference signal (DMRS) ports. The method may also include receiving, from the BS, a second signal indicative of a first spatial state of a physical channel and a second spatial state of the physical channel. The method may also include communicating data over the second subset and not the first subset, based on which of the plurality of DMRS ports are part of the first subset and which of the plurality of DMRS ports are part of the second subset.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for per transmission configuration channel sensing. A method for wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) generally includes monitoring a plurality of dummy physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) transmissions from at least one base station (BS). The dummy PDCCH transmissions use a different transmission configuration. The UE sends acknowledgment feedback for the plurality of dummy PDCCH transmission. The ACK feedback for the dummy PDCCH transmissions may be multiplexed with ACK feedback to the at least one BS for physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) transmissions. A UE may receive a configuration reserving one or more bits in a UE codebook for providing the ACK feedback. Each reserved bit may be for control resource sets associated with a transmission configuration. The UE monitors PDDCH transmissions using different transmission configurations and uses the reserved bits to transmit ACK feedback for the PDCCH transmissions.

Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for wake-up resource randomization for discontinuous reception operation. An example method generally includes obtaining configuration information for receiving at least one wake up signal (WUS) during an OFF duration of a discontinuous reception (DRX) mode of the UE; monitoring, during a WUS monitoring occasion occurring during the OFF duration of the DRX mode, the one or more resources for the at least one WUS based on the configuration information; and transitioning to an ON state of the DRX mode when the at least one WUS is detected in the one or more resources during the monitoring; or remaining in an OFF state of the DRX mode when the at least one WUS is not detected in the one or more resources during the monitoring.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a transmitter device may determine an adapted codebook for beamforming transmission based at least in part on an initial codebook and one or more spatial parameters, wherein the adapted codebook is associated with an adapted set of candidate beams with an adapted angular range that is different than an initial angular range of an initial set of candidate beams of the initial codebook. In some aspects, the transmitter device may transmit using at least one beam of the adapted set of candidate beams associated with the adapted angular range based at least in part on determining the adapted codebook. Numerous other aspects are provided.
