Abstract: A communication method includes receiving, by a terminal device comprising a processor, indication information from a master node. The indication information is used to indicate that a key used for signaling transmission performed between the terminal device and a first secondary node by using a second signaling radio bearer (SRB) is a first key. The first key is used for signaling transmission performed between the terminal device and the master node by using a first SRB. The first secondary node and the master node share one central unit. The communication method also includes determining, by the terminal device, based on the indication information, that the first key is used for signaling transmission performed between the terminal device and the first secondary node by using the second SRB.

Abstract: Embodiments of this application provide a configuration method and apparatus. When indicating, by using an RRC connection release message, a terminal to enter an inactive state from a connected state, a network device may include, in the RRC connection release message, a configuration parameter allocated to the terminal in the inactive state. That is, the terminal receives the radio resource control RRC connection release message sent by the network device, where the RRC connection release message includes first information used to indicate a target configuration parameter. In this way, the terminal may enter the inactive state based on the RRC connection release message, and determine a context parameter of the inactive state based on the first information, so that the configuration parameter is properly allocated to the terminal in the inactive state.

Abstract: This application provides a communication method and apparatus, to determine a DRX cycle. The method includes: receiving data in an active time of a current DRX cycle; when a DRX inactivity timer of the current DRX cycle expires, determining a type of a next DRX cycle depending on whether at least some data received in the active time is associated with a DRX short cycle, where if the at least some data is not associated with a DRX short cycle, the next DRX cycle is a DRX long cycle, or the type of the next DRX cycle is the same as that of a DRX cycle previous to the current DRX cycle. When the DRX inactivity timer expires, the type of the next DRX cycle can be more flexibly determined, and may not necessarily be a DRX short cycle. This can save power of a device to some extent.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for transmitting a timing difference. The method includes obtaining, by a master node, a measurement value of a timing difference between a first cell and a second cell, and sending, by the master node, the measurement value of the timing difference and identification information of the second cell to a secondary node, where the first cell is a primary cell corresponding to the master node, the second cell includes a primary secondary cell corresponding to the secondary node or another cell different from the primary secondary cell, and the identification information of the second cell includes a physical cell identifier (PCI) and frequency information of the second cell.

Abstract: A source base station receives a first data packet from a core network device; a target base station receives a second data packet from the core network device, where the second data packet is a duplicate of the first data packet, and the first data packet and the second data packet each include a first index; the source base station sends first indication information to the target base station, where the first indication information indicates a mapping relationship between the first index and a second index; the source base station sends a third data packet to a user equipment UE in response to the first data packet; the target base station sends a fourth data packet to the UE in response to the second data packet, where the third data packet and the fourth data packet each include the second index.

Abstract: This application provides a transmission method and a data transmission apparatus, so as to avoid out-of-order of data packets. The method includes: sending, by a source access network device, a first proportion of data packets in a first Packet Data Convergence Protocol PDCP entity in the source access network device to a target access network device by using a data tunnel between the source access network device and a second PDCP entity of the target access network device, where the first proportion of data packets are data packets of a first quality of service QoS flow in a first protocol data unit PDU session, the first PDU session includes at least one QoS flow, the at least one QoS flow corresponds to at least one PDCP entity, the at least one QoS flow includes the first QoS flow, the at least one PDCP entity includes the first PDCP entity, and the first PDCP entity corresponds to the first QoS flow; and sending, by the source access network device, first indication information to the target access network device, where the first indication information is used to indicate that all the first proportion of data packets in the first PDCP entity have been sent.

Abstract: A cell handover method and an apparatus are provided. The method includes: determining an AI target cell, where the AI target cell is a predicted serving cell to which a terminal device can be handed over; and sending a first request message, where the first request message is used to request a network device corresponding to the AI target cell to allocate, to the terminal device, a resource corresponding to the AI target cell. The first request message indicates at least one of the following: identification information of the AI target cell, a type of the handover being AI handover, activation time information, expiration time information, prediction accuracy of the AI target cell, or the like. The activation time information indicates an earliest moment at which the terminal device is handed over to the AI target cell.
