    摘要: A voice input to a microphone is converted by an A/D converter to a digital signal which is then delivered to a DSP, which extracts the notes of the input voice for determining same. The processing by the DSP includes bandpass filtering with a frequency corresponding to each note as the central frequency. A plurality of notes is processed on a time divisional basis to determine their respective notes. A new musical sound electronically corresponding to one or more notes extracted as the result of the note detection is then generated on a real time basis.

    摘要: An input waveform signal representing, for example, a string oscillation is input to a pitch extraction circuit. The pitch extraction circuit extracts a pitch frequency from the input waveform signal, and this pitch frequency is input to a RAM connected to a CPU. On the other hand, LFO data from an LFO is input to a RAM. The CPU detects the amount of variation of the pitch frequency based on the pitch frequency and coverts the amount of variation of the pitch frequency in accordance with a predetermined conversion function. Thereafter the converted value is added to the LFO data to form musical sound control data for imparting a tremolo effect or a vibrato effect. The musical sound production circuit thereby imparts the above effect to the musical sound to be produced.

    摘要: The tone signal from a transducer monitoring the music vibrations of a bowed musical instrument contains an objectionable friction noise component which is removed by passing the tone signal through a high-pass filter having a variable cutoff frequency which is controlled by a pitch detector monitoring the fundamental frequency of a played note in the tone signal. The cutoff frequency of the filter is kept slightly below the fundamental frequency of the played note to avoid altering the tone color of the tone signal. When no fundamental frequency is detected by the pitch detector, the cutoff frequency of the filter remains at a pre-determined minimum which may be adjustable by the musician for best effect when strings are both bowed and plucked. The filtered tone signal may be applied to the pitch detector in order to increase the accuracy of the pitch detection process and thus increase the accuracy of the noise reducing characteristics of the system.

    摘要: A pedal operated electronic drum. The electronic drum includes a pedal pivotally coupled to a base and a first striking or anvil element mounted on the base. A second striking or hammer element is operably coupled to the pedal so that depression of the pedal causes the hammer element to strike the anvil element. A transducer is acoustically coupled to the anvil element to convert impact induced vibrations in the anvil element into an electrical output signal. In one embodiment the hammer element is attached to a roller pivotally coupled to the base. A strap is wrapped about the roller and attached to the base so that depression of the pedal rotates the axle thereby causing the hammer element to strike the anvil element. In an alternative embodiment the strap is coupled to the pedal instead. Both of these embodiments may be adjusted to simulate the "feel" of a conventional pedal operated drum striking element. In yet another embodiment, the hammer and anvil elements are respectively attached to the base and pedal. A spring is disposed between the base and pedal to provide resistance and separation forces. Rapid depression of the pedal brings the hammer element into striking contact with the anvil element.

    摘要: An electronic entertainment device which allows an untrained vocalist or instrumentalist to easily synthesize an instrumental lead, and optionally, one or more harmonies, simultaneous with the lead, playing along with predefined background musical sequences. While the background parts to a song are being played by the device, or any outside musical player, the user plays the melody, or "lead", by humming, singing, whistling, or operating any tone-producing device, such as a musical instrument, into the device. The device then identifies the pitch, compares it with a table of allowable pitches, as dictated by predefined data associated with the background music, chooses an appropriate output tone, and drives a music synthesizer to play the chosen instrument at the determined pitch, in accordance with the allowable pitches. The note which is produced by the device is one which sounds pleasing in the context of the musical background. The device facilitates an active involvement in music expression without a need for well developed skills as a vocalist or instrumentalist.

    摘要: The device of the invention extracts a fundamental frequency from signals coming from a played musical instrument. From this is synthesized a waveform with the same fundamental frequency which can be given an arbitrary form, so that an audical impression of e.g. a violin, a trumpet or a guitar can be given to sound produced by the waveform. The waveform is produced by making a pulse train with frequency n times the fumdamental frequency, leading the pulse train to a counter activating cyclically and sequentially n different outputs. The outputs are summed with different and adjustable weights, and the waveform is determined by adjusting the n weights. The number n can be any number. An embodiment is shown with n=16.
