    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, apparatuses and computer-readable medium for wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a first base station (BS) associated with a fifth generation New Radio (5G NR) radio access technology (RAT), a command of mobility from the 5G NR RAT to a second RAT. The UE may determine that the command of mobility is for voice fallback. The UE may transmit, to a second BS associated with the second RAT and based at least in part on determining that the command of mobility is for voice fallback, a radio resource control (RRC) connection request communication for attempting to communicatively connect with the second BS for voice fallback.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may receive, from a 4G/LTE device and via a 5G/NR base station, a first handover command message identifying at least one of a measurement configuration or a measurement gap for identifying a 2G/3G cell, wherein the first handover command message is associated with a 5G/NR to 2G/3G handover of the UE via 4G/LTE; transmit, to the 4G/LTE device and via the 5G/NR base station, a measurement report regarding the 2G/3G cell based at least in part on the measurement configuration and/or the measurement gap; and tune to the 2G/3G cell based at least in part on a second handover message, received from the 4G/LTE device via the 5G/NR base station, for performance of the call via the 2G/3G cell. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify that a radio resource control connection is to be established for evolved packet system fallback or inter radio access technology fallback from New Radio for a voice call. The UE may determine that an establishment cause received from a network access stratum (NAS) layer does not indicate high priority access. The UE may override the establishment cause such that the establishment cause indicates a mobile originated (MO) voice call based at least in part on determining that the establishment cause received from the NAS layer does not indicate high priority access. The UE may perform an access barring check of an MO voice call based at least in part on overriding the establishment cause such that the establishment cause indicates an MO voice call.     Abstract: A technique is disclosed to minimize service interruption at a wireless user equipment device during a handover by maintaining dual active connections during the handover. Upon initiating the handover, an initial/first connection with a first access node is maintained while establishing a second connection with a second access node. The user equipment device can receive data over the first connection and second connection during the handover. The first connection may be terminated (by the user equipment device or by timing out due to inactivity) after the handover is completed. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for multiple radio access technology (RAT) carrier aggregation (CA), such as Long Term Evolution (LTE)-New Radio (NR) CA. The method, in one example, comprises generating a first resource coordination information (RCI) comprising one or more resource coordination bitmaps indicating one or more shortened transmission time intervals (sTTIs) of a TTI assigned to the first RAT for communication, wherein the TTI comprises a plurality of sTTIs. The method further comprises transmitting a message including the first RCI to a second base station that uses a second RAT. The method further comprises receiving an acknowledgement of the message from the second base station, the acknowledgment including a second RCI comprising one or more modified resource coordination bitmaps indicating the one or more sTTIs assigned to the first RAT for communication and one or more additional sTTIs of the TTI assigned to the second RAT.
