Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus relating to a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) sequence design. In some cases, a UE receives (from a network entity, such as a base station/gNB) signaling indicating a base sequence from a set of base sequences available for use in sending one or more bits of uplink control information (UCI) within a transmission time interval (TTI), receives signaling indicating a set of feasible cyclic shifts, selects one of the cyclic shifts based on a value of the one or more bits of UCI, and transmits the UCI using the base sequence and the selected cyclic shift.

In some aspects, the user equipment may determine, using an implicit resource mapping procedure and before a radio resource control connection establishment, a resource allocation for a redundancy scheme response message based at least in part on a remaining minimum system information (RMSI) value. Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for multiplexing uplink control information and uplink user data in the same uplink slot. A scheduling entity may use a unified rule to map uplink control information (UCI) in a distributed fashion according to a predetermined step size on each orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol regardless of UCI types. The scheduling entity may use a unified rule to partition the UCI into two parts when frequency hopping is enabled, and use the same unified rule to map the UCI in each hop.

Abstract: A configurable new radio (NR) RACH procedure that may be executed by a UE and a base station is disclosed. A first message can be transmitted, in an inactive or idle state, a on a physical random access channel, where the first message includes a random access preamble. A second message can be received on a downlink channel in response to the first message, where the second message includes a temporary cell radio network temporary identifier and an uplink grant for the user equipment. A request can be transmitted on an uplink channel based on the uplink grant. A common search space of a downlink control channel can be monitored, such as for an acknowledgement message or a negative acknowledgement message corresponding to the request and identifiable based on the temporary cell radio network temporary identifier.

The method further includes communicating with the UE, based at least in part on the exact frequency location of the one channel.

Abstract: Various techniques for narrowband communications in a wireless communications network are provided. Narrowband communications may be transmitted using a single resource block (RB) of a number of RBs used for wideband communications. In order to provide for efficient device discovery and synchronization using narrowband communications, a synchronization signal, such as a primary synchronization signal (PSS) or secondary synchronization signal (SSS), may be transmitted within the single resource block. The synchronization signal may be transmitted, for example, using multiple orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols within the single RB. A common reference signal (CRS) may also be present in the single resource block, which may puncture the synchronization signal, in some examples. In other examples, the synchronization signal may be mapped to non-CRS symbols of the single resource block.
