Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for determining whether a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) is to be transmitted, and a configuration for transmission of the CSI-RS on a wideband based on an outcome of a listen-before-talk (LBT) operation in multiple sub-bands of the wideband. In one aspect, a base station may transmit sub-band usage information indicating sub-band availability before the CSI-RS, thereby allowing a user equipment (UE) to determine whether the CSI-RS will be transmitted and, if so, on which sub-bands the CSI-RS will be transmitted. Furthermore, rate matching configurations are provided based on whether sub-band usage has been received, based on which sub-bands are available. Still further, power configurations and resource element selection criteria are provided for wideband CSI-RS and CSI feedback.

Abstract: Hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ)-acknowledgement (ACK) feedback codebook enhancements are disclosed. A size of feedback codebook may be reduced explicitly or implicitly. For example, an indicator may be identified by a corresponding field of a downlink control message. In some aspects, the indicator may indicate that multiple Physical Downlink or Uplink Shared Channels (PDSCHs/PUSCHs) are actually scheduled during one or more slots of a window corresponding to the feedback codebook. Responsive to receiving the indicator, a device may refrain from reducing the size of the feedback codebook to exclude acknowledgement feedback for additional possible PDSCH/PUSCH occasions of the slots of the window. In some aspects, a device identifies possible PDSCH/PUSCH occasions that occur outside of one or more Channel Occupancy Times (COTs) of a window. The device may generate a reduced size feedback codebook by excluding the possible PDSCH/PUSCH occasions that occur outside of the COTs of the window.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to configured transmissions in a shared radio frequency band are provided. A user equipment (UE) receives, from a base station (BS), an indication of a first configured resource in a shared radio frequency band for a communication in a first direction. The UE receives, from the BS, a first configuration to select between a validation of the first direction or an absence of an invalidation of the first direction for using the first configured resource for the communication. The UE communicates, with the BS, the communication in the first direction using the first configured resource based on the first configuration.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a base station and/or a user equipment may determine a time domain resource pattern for a set of demodulation reference signals (DMRSs), wherein the set of DMRSs is included in a Type-B physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH). A base station may transmit, and the user equipment may receive, the set of DMRSs using a set of resources determined based at least in part on the time domain resource pattern. Abstract: Techniques and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for staggering sounding reference signal (SRS) transmissions in frequency across multiple orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols, which may allow multiple UEs to transmit SRS using a common listen-before-talk (LBT) gap for a LBT procedure. The techniques also provide for transmitting an SRS across multiple OFDM symbols using same frequency resources, and an orthogonal cover code (OCC) may be applied to the SRS transmission of each OFDM symbol, which may allow multiple UEs to transmit concurrent SRS using a common LBT gap.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for various ways that abase station and a UE may resume uplink communications when a cyclic prefix extension does not occupy (“fill”) the gap between a downlink communication and an uplink communication. The techniques by the UE include performing an early LBT procedure (e.g., during the allocated downlink resources), puncturing the uplink resources, transmitting a reference signal to fill in a one symbol gap, and performing the UL transmission one symbol early. The techniques by the base station include including a cyclic postfix on the downlink (DL) channel to occupy the additional space and performing scheduling techniques to avoid case where a CPE may not fill the symbol periods between the downlink and uplink communication resources.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for listen-before-talk (LBT) failure-based channel congestion measurement and recovery triggering. In one aspect, a user equipment (UE) may determine an LBT metric based on a result of attempting to perform an uplink transmission in connection with an LBT procedure. For example, the UE may determine an absolute quantity of LBT failures, a ratio of unsuccessful uplink transmissions to total uplink transmission attempts, an absolute quantity of LBT successes, or another type of LBT metric. The UE may trigger a recovery action, such as a radio link failure (RLF) recovery action or a bandwidth part switch, based on determining that the LBT metric satisfies a threshold.
