Abstract: A method includes receiving first intraoral scan data of an intraoral site, the first intraoral scan data having been generated at a first time, receiving second intraoral scan data of the intraoral site, the second intraoral scan data having been generated at a second time that is later than the first time, and analyzing the second intraoral scan data of the intraoral site relative to the first intraoral scan data of the intraoral site. The method further includes identifying an area of interest (AOI) based on the analyzing and removing data for the AOI from at least one of the first intraoral scan data, the second intraoral scan data, or a three-dimensional (3D) model of the intraoral site generated from the first intraoral scan data and the second intraoral scan data.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for preparation of orthodontics and prosthodontics. A method may include scanning a patient's teeth to form first 3D data of the patient's teeth including a removable element that obscures part of the dental surfaces of the patient's teeth and non-obscured tooth surfaces, removing the removable element form the patient's teeth so that the removable element no longer obscures the part of the dental surfaces of the patient's teeth, and scanning the previously obscured part of the dental surfaces of the patent's teeth and the non-obscured tooth surfaces.

Abstract: A method includes receiving first scan data of an intraoral site and generating a three-dimensional (3D) model comprising the intraoral site. A user selection of a portion of the 3D model is received, and the portion of the 3D model is locked. After locking the portion of the 3D model, second scan data of the intraoral site is received. The 3D model is then updated with the second scan data, wherein a first portion of the second scan data that also depicts the locked portion of the 3D model is not used for updating the 3D model, and wherein a second portion of the second scan data is used for updating the 3D model, the second portion of the second scan data being combined with the first scan data to account for discrepancies of overlapping data between the first scan data and the second scan data.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides method, systems, and devices for expanding arch of teeth. A device for expanding an arch of teeth of a patient can include a removable shell formed of a first material having a number of cavities formed therein. The number of cavities are shaped to receive teeth of a patient. A device for expanding an arch of teeth of a patient can include an arch element extending from the removable shell in a lingual direction and across an arch width of the removable shell. The arch element can be formed of the first material and a second material that is a different material than the first material, can be designed to expand an arch of the teeth of the patient, and can have a width specific to a stage of a treatment plan.
