Abstract:
An apparatus and method for controlling a control valve, and a method for controlling a discharge flow rate of a hydraulic pump for a construction machine are disclosed, which can control a spool shifting speed of a directional valve and a discharge flow rate of a hydraulic pump in accordance with a hydraulic fluid temperature in winter season with below zero temperatures. The apparatus for controlling a control valve includes a variable displacement hydraulic pump; a hydraulic actuator driven by hydraulic fluid that is supplied from the hydraulic pump; a control valve installed in a flow path between the hydraulic pump and the hydraulic actuator and shifted to control a start, stop, and direction change of the hydraulic actuator; an operation lever outputting an operation signal corresponding to an operation amount; a temperature sensor detecting a hydraulic fluid temperature of a hydraulic fluid tank connected to the hydraulic pump; and a controller applying a control signal that corresponds to the operation amount of the operation lever 3 to the control valve if the hydraulic fluid temperature detected through a signal from the temperature sensor is higher than a predetermined temperature, and adjusting the operation signal according to the operation amount of the operation lever in a predetermined increment rate to correspond to the detected hydraulic fluid temperature and applying the adjusted control signal to the control valve if the hydraulic fluid temperature detected through the signal from the temperature sensor is lower than the predetermined temperature.
Abstract:
An approach is provided for determining a program clock reference (PCR) value validity, for avoiding inaccurate variable delay reference (VDR) values, and for avoiding a mismatch in a data packet between a sequence number and a packet number for a wireless display extension. The approach involves determining to generate a data packet carrier having an optional PCR value, a VDR) value, and a validity indicator. The approach may further involve processing the data packet carrier to determine whether the data packet carrier has the optional PCR value. The approach may also involve causing, at least in part, a surrogate PCR value to be generated based, at least in part, on a determined absence of the optional PCR value from the data packet carrier.
Abstract:
The format of telecined video may be determined including a bottom field first cadence. In addition, video using 2:3:3:2 top field first can be identified. Moreover, mixed cadence videos can also be detected. In some embodiments, mixed cadence videos may be detected by calculating variances of different areas within a frame.
Abstract:
A display apparatus and a user interface display method of the display apparatus are provided. The display apparatus classifies menu items of a service menu or an OSD menu according to the frequency of use of the menu items, generates icons corresponding to the classified menu items, and displays the icons on a screen using a user interface. Accordingly, the user can display a user interface on the screen in a preferable manner, and easily find and utilize a desired menu item.
Abstract:
A display apparatus and a displaying method of contents, the display apparatus including a content output unit which outputs contents, a display unit which displays predetermined space information, a user interface (UI) generating unit which generates UI information, a user input unit, and a control unit which classifies the contents into a group which corresponds to a position on the displayed predetermined space information based on predetermined position information of the contents in response to a request to search for contents, being input through the user input unit, controls the UI generating unit to generate a first UI indicating the group, and controls the display unit to display the generated first UI at the corresponding position of the group on the displayed predetermined space information.
Abstract:
A text entry method and a display apparatus applying the same are provided. In the text entry method, one emoticon is selected from an emoticon set, and a text string corresponding to the selected emoticon is then entered. Therefore, it is possible for a user to enter text more conveniently.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus and image processing method are provided. The image processing apparatus includes a video processor which processes and displays an image; a receiver which receives a key signal of a color; and a controller which controls the video processor to display contents corresponding to the color when receiving the key signal of the color.
Abstract:
An organic light emitting diode (OLED) display includes a lower substrate having a display area displaying an image and a non-display area formed along an edge of the display area, the display area having a first thickness, at least a part of the non-display area having a second thickness that is greater than the first thickness; and a protection member disposed at the lower side of the lower substrate, the protection member being disposed in the display area of the lower substrate.
Abstract:
Described herein are techniques related to motion estimation for video encoding. In particular, integer estimation is performed on a reference video frame, and a best size macro block is determined. A fractional estimation is performed on that best size macro block. Based on the fractional estimation, a determination is made if an improvement occurs over the macro block from the integer estimation. If such an improvement occurs, then all sub shapes of the best size macro block from the integer search/estimation are updated. Furthermore, the new sub macro block is chosen as the final macro block to be used for video encoding.
Abstract:
