Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a UE and a network device for wireless communication. The UE sends an indication to a network device indicating a capability of receiving a PWS signal and/or a delay requirement for receiving the PWS signal. The UE receives, from the network device, a configured DRX cycle value associated with the indication and a paging signal corresponding to the PWS signal associated with the configured DRX cycle value. The network device determines whether the UE is capable of receiving the PWS signal and whether the UE desires to receive the PWS signal within a duration. The network device configures a DRX cycle value based on the determination and sends, to the UE, the configured DRX cycle value and a paging signal corresponding to the PWS signal based on the configured DRX cycle value. Other aspects, features, and embodiments are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In a wireless communications system, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, an indication of a set of component carriers (CCs) for the UE and a respective frequency range (FR) for each CC of the set of CCs. Each CC-FR pairing may be associated with a respective priority of a set of priorities. The UE may initiate a plurality of timers, where each timer of the plurality of timers may correspond to a respective CC-FR pairing. After expiration of a timer of the plurality of timers, the UE may measure one or more reference signals of a subset of the set of CCs based at least in part on a capability of the UE and a priority of the respective CC-FR pairing associated with the timer.

In another aspect, the device may identify one or more release conditions for releasing local settings data associated with a customized measurement gap. The method, systems, and devices may include techniques for establishing a first connection with a first cell operating in accordance with a first radio access technology (RAT), and performing a beam sweep procedure for one or more candidate beams for adding or handover to a second cell operating in accordance with millimeter wave (mmW) RAT. The beam sweep procedure may be performed based on previous beam measurements stored in a measurement database. The techniques may further include selecting a beam from the one or more candidate beams for adding or handover to the second cell based on the beam sweep procedure, and adding or handing over to the second cell by establishing a second connection with the second cell using the selected beam.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a user equipment (UE) may transmit assistance information to a base station to request an update or a modification to one or more communication parameters configured at the UE. Such communication parameters may include a quantity of uplink multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) layers, a quantity of downlink MIMO layers, a minimum scheduling offset, a maximum quantity of component carriers, or a maximum aggregated bandwidth for a secondary cell group (SCG). In some implementations, the UE may transmit the assistance information requesting the update or modification to one or more of such communication parameters based on detecting that the UE satisfies one or more triggering conditions or thresholds.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for user equipment (UE)-side and network-side mitigation of intermodulation (IM) interference, such as IM interference associated with multi-radio access technology communications. For example, the UE or a base station may detect an IM interference condition, and may perform an IM mitigation action based on detecting the IM interference condition. The UE may reduce an uplink transmit power so that IM interference on the downlink is reduced. Various base station IM mitigation actions are provided, such as suspending scheduling on a bearer, using a scheduling pattern that avoids concurrent transmission, reducing a maximum transmit power of an uplink grant of the UE, allocating resource blocks or bandwidth parts that do not overlap with an IM interference resource, changing a secondary cell group channel to a non-interfering channel, releasing a secondary cell group channel, deactivating a carrier, or changing a channel of the UE.
