    Abstract: Embodiment methods for managing communication with a base station may include a wireless device determining whether a beam received from the base station can be successfully received using analog beamforming, determining whether the beam from the base station can be received using digital beamforming in response to determining that the beam received from the base station cannot be successfully received using analog beamforming, and receiving the beam using the digital beamforming in response to determining that the beam can be received using digital beamforming.

    Abstract: Aspects relate to beam management reports that enable selection of best antenna panel and beam combinations for uplink transmissions from a user equipment (UE) when one or more antenna panels of the UE are subject to a maximum permissible exposure (MPE) limit. The UE receives a reference signal at a plurality of antenna panels, wherein the reference signal is received in different beams on each of the plurality of antenna panels. The UE determines N beams providing highest measured strengths of the reference signal on at least one of the plurality of antenna panels, wherein the MPE limit is to be applied to the at least one of the plurality of antenna panels for uplink transmissions. The UE transmits a beam management report including reduced highest measured strengths of the reference signal in the N beams to account for the MPE limit.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) and base station may be configured to implementing trigger-based joint TX-RX sensing for channel access. In some aspects, the UE may monitor, via a receiver, for one or more transmissions from a first base station, detect, during the monitoring, interference associated with a pre-grant communication, the pre-grant communication associated with a future communication between a second base station a second user equipment, and transmit, via a transmitter, a reservation communication to the second base station in response to the pre-grant communication. In some aspects, the UE may receive the one or more communications from the first base station, without interference from the second base station, based on transmitting the reservation communication.
