    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, information that configures multiple random access channel (RACH) partitions, wherein the multiple RACH partitions are each associated with a respective combination of one or more RACH features. The UE may select, from the multiple RACH partitions, a RACH partition based at least in part on the UE satisfying one or more criteria for the combination of one or more RACH features associated with the RACH partition. The UE may transmit, to the base station, a preamble on physical RACH (PRACH) resources associated with the RACH partition to initiate a RACH procedure supporting the combination of one or more RACH features associated with the RACH partition. Numerous other aspects are described.

    Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to channel occupancy management for new radio side-link supporting star topology of user equipment devices are provided. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) determines a communication resources pool including a channel occupancy ratio (CR) gap of each UE of a plurality of UEs in communication with the first UE, a CR gap of each UE representing a difference between a CR limit of that UE and a CR of that UE, The UE also can communicate, to a second UE of the plurality of UEs, a first CR command configured to allow the second UE to access a first portion of the communication resources pool. In some aspects, an amount of the first portion can be different from an amount of the CR gap of the second UE in the communication resources pool.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a parent node may configure first and second backhaul radio link control (RLC) channels based on requests received from a first integrated access and backhaul (IAB) donor central unit (CU) and a second IAB donor CU, respectively. The parent node may select first and second logical channel identifiers for the first and second backhaul RLC channels, the second logical channel identifier being different from the first logical channel identifier, and may provide the first and second logical channel identifiers to the first IAB donor CU and the second IAB donor CU, respectively. The parent node may receive a packet including either the first logical channel identifier or the second logical channel identifier, and process the packet based on which of the first and second logical channel identifiers is included in the packet.     Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for encrypting paging information transmitted to a user equipment (UE) in a paging message. In one aspect, a base station (BS) encrypts paging information and transmits a paging message to one of a UE or another BS for transmission to the UE. The paging message includes the encrypted paging information. A UE receives the paging message from a BS including the encrypted paging information. The UE decrypts the encrypted paging information to identify paging information, and determines whether to communicate with the BS based on the paging information. The paging information may be encrypted and the encrypted paging information decrypted based on information configured or obtained during at least one of a registration procedure or a radio access network (RAN)-based Notification Area Update (RNAU). Confidentiality of paging information in paging messages may thereby be improved.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling comprising an indication of a format for a channel state information report indicating channel state information for a sidelink channel between the first UE and a second UE. The first UE may determine the channel state information for the sidelink channel between the first UE and the second UE. The first UE may configure a layer one uplink control message to indicate the channel state information report according to the format. The first UE may transmit, based at least in part on the format, the layer one uplink control message to a base station indicating the channel state information report.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A transmitting user equipment (UE) may determine a set of resources for sidelink communication with one or more neighboring UEs. The transmitting UE may transmit multiple sidelink control messages to the neighboring UEs indicating the set of resources are reserved for a sidelink data message. The neighboring UEs may receive at least one of the sidelink control messages. A neighboring UE may determine a portion of the resources are reserved for a sidelink data message with the transmitting UE and may transmit or receive the sidelink data message using the portion of the resources. Additionally or alternatively, a neighboring UE may determine the resources are reserved for a sidelink data message between the transmitting UE and another neighboring UE and may select alternative resources for sidelink data messages to may avoid using the reserved resources.
