Abstract:
Routing software in an asset management server for a network of an enterprise. The enterprise has one or more assets and two or more data sources and each source has a unique name for each asset. The server determines from an incoming message from the data sources about the assets which of the other data sources needs to receive the message and the unique name for the asset used by those sources. The routing software prepares the outgoing message to the sources and transmits the message to those sources.
Abstract:
A rotor assembly system includes a central robotic system, which itself includes a conveyor platform and a multi-axial central robot arranged on the conveyor platform. The multi-axial central robot is configured to perform a set of manufacturing processes from among a plurality of rotor manufacturing processes related to at least one rotor component. The conveyor platform is operable to move the multi-axial central robot within the manufacturing cell to transfer the at least one rotor component between one or more rotor manufacturing processes from among the plurality of rotor manufacturing processes.
Abstract:
A decision support system is provided for utility operations to assist with crew dispatch and restoration activities following the occurrence of a disturbance in a multiphase power distribution network, by providing a real-time visualization of possible location(s). The system covers faults that occur on fuse-protected laterals. The system uses real-time data from intelligent electronics devices coupled with other data sources such as static feeder maps to provide a complete picture of the disturbance event, guiding the utility crew to the most probable location(s). This information is provided in real-time, reducing restoration time and avoiding more costly and laborious fault location finding practices.
Abstract:
An energy storage system for connection to a traction power supply that provides power to an electric vehicle. The energy storage system includes a power controller that controls a DC-DC converter to transfer electrical energy from the traction power supply to electrical energy storage when the train is braking. The power controller also controls the converter to transfer electrical energy from the electrical energy storage to the traction power supply when the train is accelerating. The controller slows the rate of energy transfer when upper and lower voltage boundary limits of the electrical energy storage are approached, respectively.
Abstract:
A controller of a wireless access node is operative to estimate an adjacent one of a plurality of wireless channels while the access node is communicating over a present one of the plurality of wireless channels, comprising the controller, determining a difference between a measured signal quality of a signal communicated over the present wireless channel and a measured signal quality of a signal communicated over the adjacent channel, estimate a difference between a packet success rate of the present channel and a packet success rate of the adjacent channel based on the determined difference, and estimating a packet success rate of the adjacent channel based on a packet success rate of the present channel and the estimated difference between the packet success rate of the present channel and the packet success rate of the adjacent channel.
Abstract:
Systems, methods and apparatuses of supporting multicast traffic of a wireless mesh network are disclosed. One apparatus includes an access node that includes one or more transceivers for communicating with other devices of a wireless mesh network, and a processor. The processor is operative to receive multicast traffic from a multicast traffic source through the one or more transceivers, associate the multicast traffic with a multicast group ID, and encapsulate the received multicast traffic in unicast IP packets that include a special destination IP address associated with the multicast group ID.
Abstract:
A plug for ease of alignment of a temperature probe or sensor inside a duct of a transformer winding is provided. The plug is shaped for secure placement into a duct or passage of a transformer winding without requiring any adhering material. The insertion of the plug into the duct or passage brings the temperature probe into contact with the desired point along the transformer winding being thermally monitored.
Abstract:
A cross-direction feedback controller, profiler system and actuator setpoint controller are provided in communication with a plurality of actuators in a machine of a web-forming process, and with a local region detector that determines an actual profile response of a product of the web-forming process in response to consecutively bumping each of the actuators. A relationship between generated profile response data and an actuator setpoint change in the generated profile response data is represent by a profile-to-actuator general interaction matrix, which is expanded into linear equations that describe impacts of bumped actuators on different profile points of generated profile response data. The linear equations are rearranged into a bump-magnitude matrix as a function of a desired response model vector. A least-square solution is found for the bump-magnitude matrix, convolved with a window function and then optimized to minimize error between an actual and a modeled profile response.
Abstract:
A four port scanning Michelson interferometer suppresses self-emission by using either a beamsplitter that is uncoated or a beamsplitter that has reflection enhancing dielectric coatings in the splitting and combining areas of the substrate on opposite sides of the substrate. Both beamsplitters are fabricated from infrared optical materials that have a predetermined absorptivity in a predetermined wavelength interval which is from 2 μm (5000 cm−1) to 13 μm (770 cm−1) in the infrared. The optical materials of the uncoated beamsplitter are selected from a group of materials made up of ZnSe, ZnS, CdS, CdTe, Silicon, Germanium or Diamond. The optical materials of the other beamsplitter are selected from a group of materials made up of KBr, KCl, NaCl, CsI, BaF, CaF and the like.

Systems, methods and apparatuses of establishing an IPsec (Internet Protocol Security) VPN (Virtual Private Network) tunnel are disclosed. One method includes receiving, by a wireless mesh network access point, a user configuration, wherein the user configuration includes a type of traffic, determining an internal interface of the wireless mesh network access node based on the type of traffic, dynamically determining a local endpoint address for the IPsec VPN tunnel based on the selected internal interface, establishing the IPsec VPN tunnel through the selected internal interface of the wireless mesh network access node, and encapsulating non-IP packets of non-IP traffic within IP packets.
