    Abstract: Some aspects of the disclosure provide for wireless communication systems in which scheduling information is transmitted to a scheduled entity to schedule transmission of uplink feedback control information by the scheduled entity. The feedback control information may be transmitted in short uplink control bursts or long uplink bursts. Selection between short uplink control bursts and long uplink bursts may be based on power headroom at the scheduled entity, interference in the short uplink control burst or the long uplink burst, loading of the short uplink control burst or the long uplink burst or processing capability of the scheduled entity.

    Abstract: Various additional and alternative aspects are described herein. In some aspects, the present disclosure provides a method for wireless communication. The method includes determining at least one RS pattern for allocating a reference signal on an uplink channel and a downlink channel based on one or more transmission factors for transmitting the reference signal, wherein at least a portion of the at least one RS pattern is the same for the uplink channel and the downlink channel. The method further includes transmitting the reference signal using the determined RS pattern.

    Abstract: Mobile originated and terminated data transmissions are discussed. Communication devices such as user equipment (UE) can be dynamically configured by a network to send and receive data. When a UE connects to a new network, the network can determine mobility of the UE and/or the network resource allocation granularity. Based at least on the network's determinations, the UE can be configured such that access data having a comparatively long life span is used and reused for multiple data transmissions. In some scenarios, access data can be refreshed after expiration of a period of time. Refresh time can be equal to expected life span of reusable access data. After UE configuration, the UE performs mobile originated and terminated data transmissions according to the configuration. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

    Abstract: Signaling strategies for an advanced receiver with interference cancellation (IC) and suppression is discussed. Upon enablement of an advanced interference cancellation procedure according to the disclosure, transmitters within the enabled area transmit according to transmission restriction configurations that provide transmission limits based on either frequency, time, or scheduling. The restrictions on the transmitters reduces the complexity of processing by neighboring advanced receivers for cancellation of interference from the restricted transmitters. At the advanced receiver, transmission information, such as scheduling, reference signal (RS), resource block (RB) allocation, and the like, may either be determined through blind detection or received directly through signaling. The advanced receiver may use this transmission information associated with each interfering signal to detect, decode, and subtract the interfering signals from the received transmissions.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for demodulation reference signal (DMRS) communication are described. The method and apparatus include determining a DMRS pattern for at least two multiplexing schemes. In some aspects, the at least two multiplexing schemes may include orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) and single carrier frequency-division multiplexing (SC-FDM). Further, in some aspects, the DMRS pattern may correspond to a continuous tone pattern in each subframe transmitted in accordance with both SC-FDM and OFDM. Additionally, in some aspects, the DMRS pattern may correspond to a comb tone pattern in each subframe transmitted in accordance with both SC-FDM and OFDM. The method and apparatus further include transmitting a DMRS in accordance with at least one of the two multiplexing schemes and based on the DMRS pattern.

    Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus may receive an uplink control configuration indication in a downlink control portion of a first slot. The first slot may include the downlink control portion, a second portion, and an uplink short burst portion. The second portion may be located between the downlink control portion and the uplink short burst portion. The apparatus may configure a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), on at least one of the second portion or the uplink short burst portion of the first slot, for transmission of first uplink control information (UCI) based at least in part on the uplink control configuration indication. The first UCI may correspond to second UCI to be transmitted in the first slot or a second slot. The apparatus may transmit the first UCI on the configured UCI.
