Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration for connected discontinuous reception (CDRX), the configuration indicating a first condition associated with a first CDRX parameter and a second condition associated with a second CDRX parameter. The UE may transition to a CDRX cycle when the first condition and the second condition are satisfied prior to an expiration of a CDRX inactivity timer. Numerous other aspects are described.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may determine that uplink communications are to be performed between the UE and a first cell group associated with a first radio access technology (RAT) and between the UE and a second cell group associated with a second RAT. The UE may determine that the UE is configured for power sharing for the uplink communications with the first cell group associated with the first RAT and the second cell group associated with the second RAT. The UE may calculate, based on the power sharing and the uplink communications, a power reduction factor for the uplink communications between the UE and the second cell group. The UE may perform the uplink communications with the first cell group and selectively perform the uplink communications with the second cell group.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may communicate with a base station using multiple receivers and receive an indication from the base station to activate a second bandwidth part of a set of bandwidth parts configured for the UE. In response to the indication, the UE may switch from operating in a first bandwidth part to operating in the second bandwidth part and adjust a quantity of active receivers at the UE based on switching from operating in the first bandwidth part to operating in the second bandwidth part. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may adjust the quantity of active receivers at the UE based on monitoring for downlink grants from the base station.

Abstract: Techniques are discussed herein identify transmission strategies and to communicate those identified transmission strategies in a transparent communication environment. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may identify a new transmission strategy for a downlink channel different from a current transmission strategy for the down link channel. The UE may transmit a channel state information (CSI) message that includes an indication of the new transmission strategy identified by the UE. In some examples, a base station may identify the new transmission strategy for the downlink channel. The base station may transmit a codebook subset restriction (CSR) indicator that includes an indication of the new transmission strategy identified by the base station. In some examples, the UE may modify its feedback strategy based on the new transmission strategy.

Abstract: Various designs for optimization of carrier aggregation (CA) capability signaling are discussed. A user equipment (UE) configured for CA determines to signal supported CA combinations that include a band, the band being one of a first band and a second band. A base station receives a signal indicating the CA combinations supported by the UE that include the band. In an aspect, a user equipment (UE) may partially disable transmissions on a transmission port based on a temperature condition (e.g., chipset temperature or skin temperature exceeding threshold). In a further aspect, the UE may enable the partially disabled transmissions on the transmission port in response to cessation of the temperature condition. In a further aspect, the UE may transmit a capability indication to a base station that indicates that the UE is capable of supporting a transition from a multi-layer (rank-2) communication mode to a single-layer (rank-1) communication mode.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure relate to wireless communications, and more particularly, to techniques for adaptively updating one or more parameters, such as power hysteresis, for determining whether beam switching should be performed. A user equipment (UE) may assess a first beam quality of a first beam for communications with a network entity and a second beam quality of a second beam. The UE adjusts a value of power hysteresis based on one or more conditions, such as whether the UE is mobile and/or the signal to noise ratio (SNR) of the first beam is less than a threshold. Based on the adjusted value of power hysteresis, the UE may switch from the first beam to the second beam if a difference between the second beam quality and the first beam quality is greater than the adjusted value of power hysteresis.

Abstract: Different sets of downlink control information (DCI) fields may be configured for DCI that includes an indication to trigger bandwidth part switching at a user equipment (UE). For example, a UE may receive DCI that triggers the UE to switch operation from a first bandwidth part to a second bandwidth part. The UE may also identify a set of transformable DCI fields and a set of non-transformable DCI fields within the DCI. The UE may then determine updated content of the DCI for application to the second bandwidth part based on whether DCI fields are included in the set of transformable or the set of non-transformable fields. In some cases, the UE may identify a null assignment in the received DCI and may switch its operation from the first bandwidth part to the second bandwidth part based on the null assignment.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications at a user equipment (UE) are described. Techniques are described herein for performing out-of-order processing. The UE may receive a first downlink channel at a first time and a second downlink channel at a second time. The UE may determine that a priority of the second downlink channel is different (e.g., higher) than a priority of the first downlink channel. The UE may determine that a first uplink transmission associated with the first downlink channel is to be transmitted after a second uplink transmission associated with the second channel based on the different priorities. The UE may set one or more operations based on these determinations. In some cases, the UE may suspend processing the of the first downlink channel to process the second downlink channel.
