摘要: A method for dynamically creating a reference identifier in an electronic document formatted as a data structure is provided. Hierarchy in the data structure is followed to reach the root of the data structure, and the data structure is traversed from the root until a target object is encountered. A reference identifier is generated from a location of the target object. As the data structure is traversed, a counter is incremented when a specified branch of the data structure is encountered, and the counter is cleared when a specified branch of the data structure is closed. The reference identifier may be updated to reflect changes in the data structure. Such changes are reflected on a browser upon reloading the browser page. Accordingly, the reference identifier reflects a location of a target object within the structure of the hierarchy of the document.

摘要: A article of manufacture that includes a luminous medallion. A conductor having a coating of non-conductive material is formed into a loop having two discontinuities. A clasp that houses a removable battery is fixed within the first discontinuity and a bead having an internally embedded LED is located within the second discontinuity. Electrical connections are made to electrodes located within the clasp by interior electrical conductors exposed at the stripped ends of the coated conductors that define one discontinuity. The conductors are fixed in electrical contact with the LED at the other discontinuity at the stripped ends of the coated conductor in the region of the second discontinuity. A membrane with an interior surface and an exterior surface, with the exterior surface adapted to receive the medallion secured thereto, and the interior surface adapted to receive elements of the clasp.

摘要: Selectively emulating sequential consistency in software improves efficiency in a multiprocessing computing environment. A writing CPU uses a high priority inter-processor interrupt to force each CPU in the system to execute a memory barrier. This step invalidates old data in the system. Each CPU that has executed a memory barrier instruction registers completion and sends an indicator to a memory location to indicate completion of the memory barrier instruction. Prior to updating the data, the writing CPU must check the register to ensure completion of the memory barrier execution by each CPU. The register may be in the form of an array, a bitmask, or a combining tree, or a comparable structure. This step ensures that all invalidates are removed from the system and that deadlock between two competing CPUs is avoided. Following validation that each CPU has executed the memory barrier instruction, the writing CPU may update the pointer to the data structure.

摘要: A method and system for providing quality control through random sampling is provided. The system includes several modules for supporting the random sampling. A first module is adapted to select a technician for performing a procedure in association with an instrument. A second module is adapted to identify a random position for placement of a quality control on the equipment. A third module is adapted to select a random time interval for the selected technician to perform the procedure. A fourth module is adapted to select any analyzable specimen for repeat analysis or for selecting a patient sample for repeat analysis. Accordingly, the four modules enable random selection of several variables including the selection of the technician, instrument, position, time, and repeat testing.

摘要: A method and apparatus are provided to calculate capacitance remaining on a power source in a battery powered device. A database is provided to store data associated with past battery performance data and data associated with a battery operating the device. The battery data includes battery drainage factors associated with the battery make and model, and the percent of time the apparatus has historically operated in a particular status. An algorithm is provided utilizing current and past data associated with the power source and the associated device to calculate time remaining for operation of the device with the current power source.

摘要: A computer system and method designed to support and enable a dual obfuscated virtual private network (VPN) for routing data. A plurality of servers is configured with hardware elements in a hardware layer, and an operatively coupled operating system layer with a first virtual private server (VPS) operatively coupled to a second VPS. The first VPS is configured to generate an OpenVPN certificate and the second VPS is configured to generate a WireGuard certificate. Communication tunnels encrypted with a combination of OpenVPN and WireGuard are created to establish the dual obfuscated VPN to support data encryption.
