Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless communication device such as a user equipment may receive an indicator associated with a periodic grant configuration, wherein the indicator identifies a release of a subsequent resource allocation of the one or more processors; and/or skip at least one communication period for traffic associated with the subsequent resource allocation of the one or more processors based at least in part on receiving the indicator. Numerous other aspects are provided.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for generating and communicating transport blocks. Certain aspects provide a method for allocating an ordered set of packets to a plurality of layers across a plurality of time resources. The method includes allocating one or more packets of the ordered set of packets in order across each of the plurality of layers prior to allocating packets of the ordered set of packets to each of the time resources of any one of the plurality of layers. The method further includes transmitting the plurality of layers.
Abstract:
Systems and methodologies are described that facilitate employing a paging indicator channel in connection with high speed channels in a wireless communications network. A paging indicator transmission can be sent on the paging channel to one or more mobile devices. The paging indicator indicates that additional information such as a full paging messages, other control plane data or other user plane data is expected to be transmitted at a specific time instant (e.g., subframe) on the associated high speed channel. A set of parameters can be transmitted on common channels that specify a set of associated subframes in a high speed channel. Mobile devices can analyze the set of parameters to determine the associated subframes and receive the subframes in accordance with a schedule.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for receiving a notification of missing packets include receiving a set of data packets transmitted by a device and having a corresponding set of sequence numbers, identifying one or more data packets having corresponding sequence numbers that fall within the set of sequence numbers and are yet to be received, receiving an indication from the device that the one or more data packets will not be transmitted by the device, and processing the set of data packets without the one or more data packets in response to receiving the indication.
Abstract:
The apparatus for wireless communication includes a processing system. The processing system is configured to establish a first radio link with a master base station, establish a second radio link with a first cell associated with a secondary base station, wherein the second radio link comprises a SRB, and receiving a RRC connection reconfiguration signal from the second radio link SRB to establish the second radio link with a second cell.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for measurement reporting. The method comprises receiving, via a first radio access technology (RAT), a first request for one or more measurement reports, translating the first request to a group of second requests for measurement associated with at least a second RAT, and transmitting at least one of the second requests to initiate gathering measurements associated with the second RAT for use in generating the one or more measurement reports in response to the first request.
Abstract:
Aspects relate to a priority mechanism for prioritizing network identifiers, for example SSIDs. As described herein, a UE may obtain one or more network identifier sets, each of the one or more network identifier sets having one or more network identifiers for a first RAT and a priority level, determine one or more of the network identifier sets that are under control of a second RAT, and after the determining, manage connections to the first RAT based, at least in part, on the priority level of the network identifier sets.
Abstract:
A UE may receive, via a first communication link that uses a first radio access technology (RAT), information that identifies a threshold associated with a second communication link that uses a second RAT. The UE may monitor one or more communications on the second communication link. The UE may determine whether a parameter associated with the second communication link satisfies the threshold based at least in part on monitoring the one or more communications on the second communication link. The UE may provide a message via the first communication link when the parameter associated with the second communication link satisfies the threshold.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus, e.g., UE, suspends a discarding process of data packets associated with a first RAT during tune away by the UE to a second RAT by stopping a discard timer. The UE restarts the discarding process in response to an occurrence of a triggering event. The triggering event may occur when the UE tunes back to the first RAT, or when a duration of the UE tune away to the second RAT exceeds a threshold. The discarding process may be restarted by resuming the discard timer at the point in time where it was stopped or by resetting the timer to zero.
Abstract:
A small base node such as a Home Base Node (HNB), or femto cell, may reduce its transmit power in order to prevent co-channel or adjacent channel interference, or to limit its coverage area. Once the power is set, the HNB signal to a served Home User Equipment (HUE) its transmit Common Pilot Channel (CPICH) transmit power for accurate path loss estimation. When this power is outside of the permissible range, the HNB adjusts other parameters (such as Random Access Channel (RACH) constant value) to compensate for the error in signaled CPICH power, and thus compensate in that process the error in determining path loss. Similarly, if the uplink sensitivity is adjusted, to prevent interference, parameters would also be adjusted and signaled to the HUE to reflect the link imbalance.
