    摘要: A self-locking adjustable screw comprising a housing having a generally tubular axial bore extending between openings in the axial opposed first and second ends thereof, a generally tubular downlock element coaxially disposed in the axial bore, the element including a co-axial bore extending between a closed end and an opening in a driving end, screw threads operatively interconnecting the element with the wall of the axial bore for translating rotation of the element into axial movement, a lock pin disposed for axial movement in the co-axial bore, a spring disposed between the closed end of the co-axial bore and the lock pin for biasing the lock pin toward the opening of the co-axial bore, a pin in slot structure for limiting the axial movement of the lock pin, a lock member movably disposed in a radially extending bore interconnecting the co-axial bore with the axial bore such that the lock in its normal position places the lock member in engagement with axial grooves in the wall of the axial bore to prevent rotation of the element, a reduced diameter portion in the lock pin for receiving the inward end of the lock and releasing the element for rotation to axially adjust its position when the lock pin is moved against the bias of the spring by insertion of a wrenching tool in the open end of the co-axial bore.

    摘要: A driving coupling includes two pawls which are supported pivotally on an eccentric ring and which in a patternlike manner engage a longitudinal groove in the drive shaft. Each of two plates of a toggle-lever joint engages an arm extension of a respective pawl, the swivel axle of the toggle-lever joint being guided in a control groove of a swinging switching arm. When the pawls are engaged with a drive shaft groove, the toggle-lever joint is in an extended position which locks the pawls in position. For unlocking the pawls, the switching arm moves the toggle-lever joint into a catch opening between two guide rails. The pawls swing out and the drive shaft rotates without carrying along the pawls and the eccentric ring.

    摘要: In a coupling arrangement for a textile machine, a drive shaft can be intermittently rotated and a connecting member encircles and is connected to the drive shaft by an eccentric hoop located between them. A coupling key is displaceable between a first coupling recess associated with the drive shaft and a second coupling recess associated with the connecting member. The coupling key is retained in the recesses by lead cams. A retaining key, independent from the coupling key, is supported by the eccentric hoop. The retaining key cooperates with a first retaining recess on the drive shaft or with a second retaining recess on the connecting member. The retaining key and/or the retaining recesses have control surfaces which provide the displacement of the retaining key when the drive shaft overtakes the eccentric hoop or the eccentric hoop overtakes the connecting member.

    摘要: A four-way pawl clutch has forward and reverse drive pawls pivotally mounted on a cage. The cage carries two indexable phasing rings. One is resiliently coupled to the forward drive pawls by overcenter leaf springs which bias the forward drive pawls toward or away from an engaged position with the clutch drive members depending on the indexed position of the phasing ring. The second phasing ring is resiliently coupled to the reverse drive pawls in a like manner. The two phasing rings may be indexed to provide freewheel, forward drive, reverse drive and lock-up modes of operation. The two phasing rings may be remotely controlled by solenoids or the like. The two phasing rings may also be coupled so that the four-way sprag clutch operates essentially as a two-way dog clutch.

    摘要: The present invention discloses a clutch assembly which is comprised of (1) a cam plate which includes cams which are spaced about a central axis; (2) a rocker plate which includes at least one pocket, wherein the pocket includes a first rocker plate engagement surface and a second rocker plate engagement surface; and (3) at least one rocker which is pivotally situated within the pocket of the rocker plate, (4) a first solenoid, and (5) a second solenoid, wherein the solenoids can be activated or deactivated to allow for the clutch to be in a neutral position (to allow for free rotation in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions), to prevent rotation in a clockwise direction while allowing for free rotation in a counterclockwise direction, or to prevent rotation in a counterclockwise direction while allowing for free rotation in a clockwise direction.
