Disclosed herein is a form panel system that is capable of constructing a frame structure including a wall of a concrete-based building and a concrete structure including various retaining walls for civil-engineering works. The form panel system comprises compression cement boards disposed opposite to each other while being spaced a predetermined distance from each other, the compression cement boards being reinforced with fiber materials, reinforcing boards obtained by forming the compression cement boards in predetermined shapes, or foamed plastic heat insulating panels, and metal plate studs disposed between the compression cement boards. The metal plate studs are composed of metal plates having predetermined thicknesses and distances therebetween, which are selected depending on the durability of concrete. Each of the metal plate studs has at least one opening formed therein. Each of the metal plate studs is provided at both opposite side ends thereof with bent parts. The metal plate stud is fixed to the respective compression cement boards by means of fixing pieces, and concrete is injected and cured into the space between the compression cement boards, to which the metal plate studs are fixed and the foamed plastic heat insulating panels are attached. According to the present invention, the fiber-reinforced compression cement boards, the foamed plastic heat insulating panels, the metal plate studs having the openings are vertically or horizontally arranged without limits.

An insulated wall system comprises a plurality of foldable blocks, each having two panels of rigid insulated foam, multiple inserts embedded in the panels, and ties between pairs of inserts. Each insert has one or more connectors, each with an end hole that swivelably receives the end leg of a tie in a manner that enables the block to fold. Each connector further has a top opening that releaseably captures the middle leg of the tie and rigidly locks the block against folding. The connectors are double-ended, and the inserts are invertible in the panels. Corner and T-walls are made by simple cuts in the standard blocks. Plates and ties are used to hold together the blocks of a main wall and an intersecting T-wall. The connectors of a panel may contact either the connectors of the other panel, or the other panel itself, when the block is folded.

An insulating concrete block adapted to be interlocked with other insulating concrete blocks to form an insulating concrete form for casting concrete. The insulating concrete block including a first foam panel and a second foam panel supported in a spaced apart, parallel relationship to form a concrete receiving cavity. Each of the first panel and the second panel having a top end, a bottom end, a first end, and a second end. The top end and the bottom end of each of the first and second panels having an outside row of a plurality of projections and an inside row of a plurality of projections. The projections of the outside row being spaced apart to define a plurality of recesses and the projections of the inside row being spaced apart to define a plurality of recesses with the projections of the outside row being adjacent to the recesses of the inside row and the recesses of the outside row being adjacent projections of the inside row. At least some of the projections of the inner row are set back from an inner edge of the panel such that when one panel is interconnected with a like panel a plurality of spaced apart recesses are formed along an inner face defined by the interconnected panels.

A composite building block with a connective structure between the inner and outer wall units is presented. The wall units can be made of cement, clay brick, or similar materials. The connective structure is made of a material different than the wall units and may be integrally formed per the requirements of a particular wall construction project. In one embodiment, the connective structure comprises a center form, and one or more arms have connectors that connect to corresponding connectors integrally formed on the wall units. The center form may partition the cavity between the inner and outer wall units into two or more cavities, which may then be partially filled with, for example, insulative material or load-bearing materials, such as concrete.

A method for constructing factory prefabricated and finished load bearing wall panels and monolithic ceiling/floor sections and modules comprised of the same for use in a single family or single story building as well as a multi-level and multi-unit building. The integrally formed wall panels are constructed of modified steel studs, rigid insulating material, and metal lathe and are factory finished with plaster or stucco like material. A void is defined by the modified steel studs window casings and door jambs. Upon erection and assembly at the job site, steel rebar is placed in such voids that are then filled with concrete, thereby eliminating the need for any additional concrete form work. The integrally formed monolithic ceiling/floor panels are constructed of a U-shaped “gull wing” steel joist, Styrofoam, metal lathe, plaster or stucco like material, and concrete and are factory finished with plaster or stucco type materials. Sections are assembled to create modules. A module is made up of four wall sections and one ceiling/floor section. The ceiling of one module will function as the floor of the module above. The module, which is hauled and erected at the job site, does not have either a bottom or a floor. The ceiling/floor section, serving as the top, provides a work platform for tradesmen in lieu of scaffolding. The gull wing joists can also be installed on a framing table in the upside-down position such that they will function as roof rafters. Rigid insulation is added next and then a pre-finished sheet steel roof membrane is added as a water proofing membrane.

The system of the present invention relates to the formation of the two majors components of any building, namely floors/ceilings and walls. It is a principle of the present invention to pre-fabricate the form elements such that fluid concrete is poured into the forms and, once the concrete is cured, these form elements become part of the finished building. According to the present invention, the pre-fabricated wall forms include the intended finished surfaces of the walls, such as but not limited to, stone, pre-cast concrete, and metal. Alternatively, the finished surface of the wall panel may be one that will accept a final finish coating, such as but not limited to, paint and wall paper, with minimal preparation. The floor/ceiling forms are configured such that the ceiling finishing material, such as but not limited to, sheet rock, any commercially available ceiling material and suspending ceiling grid elements, may be readily attached. Floor finishing material, such as but not limited to, tiles, linoleum, and carpeting, may installed directly of the cured concrete floor with minimal preparation to the surface of the concrete.

Moisture resistant foundation footing form sections constructed from corrugated plastic are disclosed. Supports for holding sections of reinforcing bar, and connecting the side walls of the form sections are included. Also disclosed are tabs and notches in the side walls for use with stakes to connect adjacent form sections. Form sections are disclosed for constructing a corner in a foundation footing form. Step-down forms are disclosed for constructing a foundation footing form on a construction site having surfaces of different elevations. The form sections can be secured in position with stakes, and leveling devices for leveling the form once it is secured in position are disclosed. The form sections disclosed herein can be reused, but they do not attract insects and therefore they do not have to be removed from finished foundation footings.

A corner assembly for concrete form panels has a pair of rigid members. Each member has a bend therein to form a selected dihedral angle. Each member has horizontal slots formed therein and receiver plates which are received in the slots and extend through the concrete panel forms. The receiver plates are connected by a bridge member. The members are spaced apart by a selected distance and a removable bridge is disposed between the pair of rigid members. At least one concrete panel form is juxtapositioned to and connected to each of the rigid members. One of the rigid members is disposed exteriorly of the at least one concrete panel form. Concrete is disposed interiorly of the at least one concrete panel form. The corner assembly is adjustable to provide support for the corner of the construction.
