    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an operation method of a user equipment (UE) and a device therefor, and the operation method includes: receiving, from a base station, a radio resource control (RRC) message including Logged minimization of drive test (MDT) configuration information for performing logging of a measurement result while the UE is in an RRC IDLE mode or an RRC INACTIVE mode, identifying a report type configured for the UE, based on the Logged MDT configuration information, determining whether conditions for performing Logged MDT are satisfied, based on the report type and the Logged MDT configuration information including at least one of a public land mobile network (PLMN) identity list or area configuration information, when the conditions are satisfied, performing a measurement based on a configured logging interval, and performing logging of a result of the measurement.
