Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A non-coherent modulation configuration may be selected for a transmission of a set of data based on a radio frequency spectrum band used for the transmission. After selecting the non-coherent modulation configuration, the set of data may be modulated using a differential phase shift keying modulation technique. After selecting the non-coherent modulation configuration, a set of frequency-domain symbols may be generated from the set of modulated symbols using a discrete Fourier transform. The set of frequency-domain symbols may be mapped to a set of subcarriers, and a time-domain waveform may be generated from the mapped set of frequency-domain symbols, yielding a time-domain waveform. The time-domain waveform may be transmitted over the radio frequency band.

An example method includes receiving a first transmission of one or more code blocks in a first slot and transmitting uplink control information that includes acknowledgement information for the one or more code blocks. The method also includes receiving a scheduling signal that indicates one or more parameters associated with a re-transmission scheduling policy based at least in part on the acknowledgement information. The method also includes receiving a second transmission of at least a portion of the one or more code blocks in a second slot and decoding the second transmission of at least the portion of the one or more code blocks according to the re-transmission scheduling policy.

Abstract: Example aspects include a method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium for scheduling transmissions of transport blocks (TBs) at a base station of a wireless communication network, comprising accessing static transmission information indicating configuration information of TB transmissions. The aspects further include transmitting, to a user equipment (UE), first downlink control information (DCI) corresponding to a first transmission. Additionally, the aspects include transmitting, to the UE according to the static transmission information and the first DCI, the first transmission comprising at least a portion of encoded bits of the TB. Additionally, the aspects include receiving, from the UE, an indication of at least one code block that failed to be successfully decoded. Additionally, the aspects include transmitting, to the UE, second DCI corresponding to a second transmission. Additionally, the aspects include retransmitting, to the UE according to the static transmission information, the first DCI, and the second DCI.

The first wireless device may transmit, to a second wireless device in the one or more symbol periods, the set of data resource elements and the set of pilot resource elements. The UE may receive a preamble in a time domain. The preamble may include a set of modulated bits during a first portion of an initial symbol duration of a slot. The UE may process the preamble during a second portion of the initial symbol duration of the slot based on the preamble configuration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may transmit a set of code blocks to multiple user equipments (UEs). The base station may receive feedback pertaining to reception of each of the set of code blocks at each of the multiple UEs. The base station may generate, based on the feedback, a retransmission message that includes encoded data representative of a subset of code blocks of the set of code blocks and additional redundancy with respect to the subset of code blocks. The multiple UEs may receive the retransmission message and extract a portion corresponding the set of code blocks that were previously unsuccessfully decoded. The UEs may combine the portion of the set of code blocks with the unsuccessfully decoded code blocks to create an updated combined versions of the code blocks. The UEs may decode the combined versions of the code blocks.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive pilot signaling associated with inphase and quadrature (IQ) mismatch estimation for a set of antennas of a base station. The UE may measure pilot signals for each of the set of antennas based on a pilot signal pattern of the pilot signaling, and calculate an estimation of an IQ mismatch for each antenna of the set of antennas of the base station based on measuring the pilot signals. The base station may receive, from the UE, a report including an indication of the estimation of the IQ mismatch for each antenna of the set of antennas of the base station based on the pilot signals.
