    Abstract: Aspects relate to mechanisms for wireless communication devices to update satellite and beam specific information. A user equipment (UE) selects a first cell associated with a first satellite for wireless communication in the non-terrestrial network. The UE determines whether to use one or more standard parameters or one or more satellite-cell specific parameters for accessing the first cell. The one or more standard parameters are based on one or more standard characteristics common to a plurality of satellites including the first satellite. The one or more satellite-cell specific parameters are based on a change to at least one standard characteristic of the one or more standard characteristics of the first satellite.

    Abstract: This disclosure relates to techniques for providing access control for multicast or broadcast (MC/BC) services. A base station broadcasts one or more cell barring parameters to a group of user equipment (UEs) that indicate whether the UEs of the group of UEs is permitted to select the cell of the base station for receiving the MC/BC services. The base station also broadcasts one or more access control parameters to a set of one or more UEs, of the group of UEs, that are indicated to be permitted to select the cell for receiving the MC/BC services based on the one or more cell barring parameters. The one or more access control parameters indicate whether the set of one or more UEs is permitted to establish or resume the RRC connected state with the base station for receiving the MC/BC services.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment may receive an indication of a pre-paging signal configuration for reception of a pre-paging signal associated with a first cell. The UE may monitor for the pre-paging signal from the first cell in response to one or more conditions being satisfied, the one or more conditions based at least in part on the pre-paging signal configuration. In some examples, the UE may receive, based on the monitoring, the pre-paging signal from the first cell, and the UE may output an alert message associated with receiving the pre-paging signal, the alert message indicating for the UE to be relocated to improve coverage.
