Abstract: Some demonstrative embodiments include apparatuses, systems and/or methods of communicating in a multicast group. For example, an apparatus may include logic and circuitry configured to cause a Neighbor Awareness Networking (NAN) device to process reception of a message including a scheduling attribute from a coordinator of a multicast group, the scheduling attribute comprising a service identifier (ID) corresponding to a service, scheduling information to indicate one or more timeblocks, a list of NAN devices belonging to the multicast group, and a scheduling rank of the coordinator; and based on the scheduling attribute, to connect with one or more NAN devices of the multicast group during at least one of the timeblocks to communicate traffic of the service.

Abstract: A wireless communication device, a system, and a method. The device may use memory circuitry and processing circuitry to process a packet wirelessly transmitted to the STA from a serving AP. The packet may be configured according to a first wireless communication protocol from a serving AP, such as, for example, WLAN. The wireless communication device may further process a low modulation packet configured according to a second wireless communication protocol from a candidate access point, the low modulation packet being at a modulation rate lower than a lowest modulation rate for the first wireless communication protocol. The second wireless communication protocol may be the LP-WU radio communication protocol. The device may determine a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) value of the low modulation packet, and may further process a frame including information on an address or signature, such as a Service Set Identifier (SSID) for the serving AP corresponding to the candidate access point, the frame being from the serving access point, from the candidate access point, or from another wireless communication device. The device may then associate the RSSI value with the address of the candidate access point, and trigger transition of the device from the serving access point to the candidate access point based on the RSSI value and on the address of the candidate access point.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer readable media for MU-RTS and CTS are disclosed. An apparatus of a high-efficiency wireless local-area network (HEW) master station is disclosed. The HEW master station including processing circuitry configured to generate a packet to indicate a multi-user request-to-send (MU-RTS) and to indicate channels on which one or more HEW stations are to transmit a clear-to-send (CTS). The HEW master station further including a transceiver configured to transmit the packet to the one or more HEW stations, and receive clear-to-send responses to the packet on the one or more channels. An apparatus of a HEW station is also disclosed. The HEW station including circuitry configured to receive a packet that indicates a MU-RTS that indicates channels on which the HEW station is to transmit a CTS, and to determine whether to send the CTS.

Abstract: Embodiments of a high-efficiency Wi-Fi (HEW) station, access point (AP), and method for random access contention in a wireless network are generally described herein. In some embodiments, the HEW station may receive a beacon frame that indicates a number of trigger frames (TFs) included in a beacon interval. The beacon frame may be received from an HEW access point (AP) in channel resources that include multiple sub-channels. The HEW station may receive a random access TF that indicates a random access portion of the sub-channels that are allocated for random access contention during an uplink transmission period. The HEW station may select a candidate sub-channel from the channel resources. When the candidate sub-channel is included in the random access portion, the HEW station may transmit an association request (AR) frame on the candidate sub-channel during the uplink transmission period.

Abstract: Embodiments of service discovery via LP-WUR (low-power wake-up radio) are generally described herein, A wireless device receives, at a LP-WUR of the wireless device, a wake-up packet from a peer device. The wireless device decodes the wake-up packet to determine a service ID (identifier) and protocol support information. The wireless device determines that the wireless device is operable to provide a service identified by the service ID and implement a protocol identified by the protocol support information, the protocol comprising NAN (neighbor aware networking) or Wi-Fi direct. The wireless device wakes up a WLAN (wireless local area network) radio of the wireless device in response to determining that the wireless device is capable of providing the service and implementing the protocol.

Abstract: Apparatus, computer readable medium, and method for sensing and deferral for orthogonal frequency division multiple access in a wireless local-area networks are disclosed. The processing circuitry may configured to configure the access point to sense a plurality of channels of a bandwidth, and determine a resource allocation for one or more stations for an uplink (UL) orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) transmission opportunity. The resource allocation may include one or more channels of the plurality of channels that are sensed as not being busy. The processing circuitry may be further configured to encode a trigger frame comprising the resource allocation to initiate the UL OFDMA transmission opportunity and configure the access point to transmit the trigger fame to the one or more stations.

Abstract: Apparatus, computer readable medium, and method for generating and receiving signal fields in a high efficiency wireless local-area network (WLAN) are disclosed. A high-efficiency wireless local-area network (HEW) device including circuitry is disclosed. The circuitry may be configured to: receive a physical (PHY) header or media access control (MAC) header from a second HEW station, wherein the PHY header or MAC header comprises an indication of a spatial reuse opportunity and a defer duration; adjust one or more parameters to determine whether or not the wireless medium is in use; and determine whether to transmit within the spatial reuse opportunity based on the adjusted one or more parameters. The circuitry may be configured to adjust one or more parameters to determine whether or not the wireless medium is in use in where the parameters are signal detect (SD) threshold, a mid-packet detection (MPD) threshold, and an energy detection (ED) threshold.

Abstract: Embodiments of a LP-WUR (low-power wake-up radio) negotiation procedure are generally described herein. A first wireless device encodes a request frame for transmission to a second wireless device, requesting to enable a LP-WUR mode and negotiate parameters for LP-WUR transmission between the first wireless device and the second wireless device. The first wireless device decodes a response action frame responsive to the request frame, indicating acceptance or rejection of the request. If the response action frame indicates acceptance of the request, the first wireless device: encodes an acknowledgement frame for transmission to the second wireless device, the acknowledgement frame to configure the second wireless device to enable the LP-WUR mode.
