Abstract: Systems and methods for obtaining metrics relating to an extended reality experience and using the obtained metrics to perform remedial actions, such as managing user motion sickness, determining user performance relating to a designed game difficulty, and performing home automation are disclosed. The methods include determining a starting and ending checkpoint in an extended reality experience. Data from a plurality of users as they navigate between the determined checkpoints is obtained and used to determine a metric, such as a median, average, or other representative data. The current user's navigation through the same checkpoints is monitored and compared with the metric. The results from the comparison are used to enhance extended reality experience, which includes customizing the experience for motion sickness, game difficulty level, and home automation.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for improving provider and consumer control of content items, channels, accounts, subscriptions, and related information including metadata. The information regarding the content items, channels, accounts, subscriptions, and related information including metadata is structured into formats suitable for determining past, present, and future user interest in content, likelihood to consume the content, and relatedness of content items. The determinations are used to generate recommendations. Content providers are provided with options to customize conditions of the determinations, the recommendations, and offers based on the same to be provided to consumers. Users are provided with the recommendations and are presented with options to change channel line-ups and subscriptions, including automatic changes based on selected parameters. Related apparatuses, devices, techniques, and articles are also described.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for managing related conferences. A first conference is initiated between a first computing device and a first group of one or more computing devices. Input to join a second conference is received at the first computing device and the second conference is initiated between the first computing device and a second group of computing devices. The first conference is associated with the second conference and the second group of one or more computing devices comprises the first group of one or more computing devices and at least one additional computing device.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for responding to a natural language query, e.g., a first natural language query. A first natural language understanding model is used to process the natural language query. A confidence level, e.g., a first confidence level, of the understanding of the natural language query is determined. In response to the confidence level being below a confidence level threshold, the natural language query is reprocessed using a reprocessing module. A response to the first natural language query is generated based on the processing of the natural language query by the first natural language understanding model and the reprocessing of the natural language query.

Abstract: A personal safe area is determined for extended reality (XR) devices, such as head mounted devices in virtual reality (VR) sessions, sharing a common larger play area. The personal safe areas may be sized based on user size, may have radii centered on the XR device and parallel to a floor, and may move with the XR device as the XR device moves in an immersive reality session. A notification indicating proximity to another XR device may be generated, and the notification may indicate the direction from which the other XR device is approaching. Also contemplated is real time adjusting an XR gameplay, game display or game flow of one or more XR devices to avoid overlap of safe spaces by shifting virtual game objects in a safer direction.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for providing personalized audio for different users in a vehicle. This may be accomplished by a vehicle entertainment system determining the positions of one or more users within the vehicle. The vehicle entertainment system may then select a zone configuration based on the determined positions and output audio according to the selected zone configuration. For example, a first user sitting in the back of the vehicle may be located in a first zone of the selected zone configuration and a second user sitting in the back of the vehicle may be located in a second zone of the selected zone configuration. The vehicle entertainment system may output a first piece of audio to the first zone and a second piece of audio to the second zone using one or more techniques (e.g., beamforming).

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for generating a super-interface that aggregates content identifiers from different content sources. A super-interface is generated for display. The super-interface comprises a first interface that comprises a first plurality of content items available from a first content source and a second interface that comprises a second plurality of content items available from a second content source. The second content source is different from the first content source. The first interface and the second interface are simultaneously accessible to a first device. A user preference is detected based on a user interaction with the first interface. The second interface is automatically updated to comprise identifiers of a third plurality of content items that are available from the second content source. The third plurality of content items is selected based on the detected user preference from the user interaction with the first interface.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described for generating memes and enhanced content in electronic communication. The communication is received, analyzed, and assessed for determining whether the enhanced content should be included in the communication. A content, context, intent, and/or mood of the communication is determined. For meme generation implementations, images and captions are generated based on the communication. Some candidate memes incorporate an image of one of the participants in the communication. Enhanced content candidates are generated and presented to the user for inclusion in the communication. Artificial intelligence systems, including neural networks, and models are utilized to improve the enhanced content generation. Related apparatuses, devices, techniques, and articles are also described.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for providing video clips of displayed content for download or sharing. These systems and methods may generate, upon request, clips of events that are ongoing, have already happened, or will happen in the future. A request may specify a particular event and the systems and methods may locate the relevant clip within the content. The systems and methods may further format the clip for a preferred platform or presentation. A clip, once generated, can be provided to a user device, which can upload the clip to a designated app or platform, e.g., for social media sharing.
