摘要： The exposure controlling device comprises a controlling unit that controls, at the time of an exposure, the DC motor to rotate forward to open the shutter blades and then to rotate reversely to close the shutter blades, a calculating unit that calculates a time period for driving the DC motor in the forward direction between a predetermined starting point and a point where a required aperture area is obtained, a timer for counting the time period from the starting point, a memory for storing data of relationship between the time period and the aperture area, and means for storing an individual data of the relationship into the memory. The calculating unit calculates the time period based on a required aperture area by using the data of relationship stored in the memory for compensating individual differences among lens shutters.

摘要： An information setting and displaying device for a camera, has a ring-like rotary dial rotatably mounted in an adjustable manner on a camera body. A display member includes at least a pair of display sub-areas arranged inside the rotary dial and successively along an inner periphery of the rotary dial. An information setting mechanism changes information in a predetermined order responsive to rotation of the dial. A display control mechanism displays current set information in one of the display sub-areas, and displays proposed information, to be set as the rotary dial rotates, in the direction from the current display sub-area toward another display sub-area.

摘要： A lens barrel is disclosed that includes a rotational barrel driven to rotate about an optical axis of the lens barrel. The rotational barrel has a plurality of guide grooves formed on an inner periphery thereof. The lens barrel further includes a linear moving barrel guided along the optical axis without rotating about the optical axis, a unit secured inside the linear moving barrel, and a plurality of follower pins securing the unit to the linear moving barrel. The plurality of follower pins each project outwardly from an outer periphery of the linear moving barrel to engage with the plurality of guide grooves, respectively, so that the linear moving barrel is moved along the optical axis relative to the rotational barrel when the rotational barrel is driven to rotate.

摘要： A camera is provided so that an inexperienced photographer is able to see the data easily regarding the necessary parameter for setting, and furthermore, the setting input operation of that parameter can be accomplished easily. The camera has a display that offers a selection of parameters and a display that verifies the parameter selected. The display showing the selected parameter is easily returned to the original selection display. Two operating modes are provided, a simple mode and an advanced mode. In the simple mode, an automatic preprogrammed mode may be selected at any time by continuously depressing a menu switch. In the advanced mode, continuous depression of the menu switch allows a user to automatically use a prestored favorite mode or the previously selected mode. Thus, operation is easy and selections are quickly executed.

摘要： A camera includes a mechanically-controlled aperture mechanism providing two or more aperture sizes for regulation of the intensity of image light gathered by the camera, a storage device for storing aperture calibration data corresponding to the measured transmissivity of each aperture size, and means for controlling camera exposure according to the value of one or more exposure parameters other than the aperture. The exposure errors caused by the aperture mechanism are thereupon compensated for with an exposure circuit that utilizes the stored aperture calibration data in order to establish the value of at least one of the exposure parameters other than the aperture. Such other exposure parameters include the shutter time and quench time for a flash, and in the case of an electronic camera the gain applied to the captured image signal.

The brightness measuring circuit measures brightness of a photographic scene to send a brightness value. The exposure line choosing circuit chooses one of a plurality of exposure lines in which each lines selects a combination of an aperture value and a shutter speed value at each brightness value. The film driver drives a film in either of a first mode in which the film is wound only one frame in response to the operation of the operable switch and a second mode in which the film is wound frame by frame continuously as long as the operable member is operated. The film driving mode selector selects one of the modes in accordance with the exposure line chosen by the choosing circuit.In the camera system, a photographer may only select the exposure mode in accordance with his intention and purpose in photography, and then the film driving mode corresponding to the intention and purpose is automatically selected.
