The system further includes a plurality of booster devices each having a turbine portion with a turbine input in fluid communication with the brine manifold and a pump portion having a booster device pump input and a booster device pump output, each booster device pump output in fluid communication with the membrane feed manifold. The system includes a pump input manifold in fluid communication with the booster device pump input. The system also includes a medium pressure pump in fluid communication with the input manifold and the pump input manifold.

    摘要: This invention is an improvement to the existing reverse osmosis water filtration systems used in under-the-sink and similar commercial applications. This improvement uses a thermally conductive liner that allows an increase of efficiency to heat or cool water within the reverse osmosis system. In addition, it includes a controller that determines the amount of cooling required without contact with the water. The controller provides slow-rate pulse-width modulation of the Peltier-like device to cool, and dependant on room temperature, potentially heat the water within the reverse osmosis system.

    摘要: A portable water filtration device includes a liquid-tight filter container and a filtration device mounted in the liquid-tight container. The filtration device includes an inlet opening extending through one of the walls and a first filtration device in liquid transfer connection with the inlet opening operative to receive and filter liquid flowing therethrough. A second filtration device is operative to receive liquid from the first filtration device and further filter the liquid flowing therethrough. The first and second filtration devices are selected from the group including ultraviolet, activated carbon and reverse osmosis filters, and an outlet opening extending through one of the walls then receives the treated water and releases the water from the filtration device. Finally, the liquid-tight filter container is operative to prevent liquid from entering the interior volume thereof thereby preventing contamination of the filtration device from accidental incursion of contaminants.

    摘要: An apparatus for supplying drinking water has a construction such that a first branch pipe (P2) and a second branch pipe (P3) are connected to a water supply pipe (P1) in which tap water flows, a cold water generating tank (3) is provided in the first branch pipe (P2), and the second branch pipe (P3) is provided with an ion exchange device (4) and a hot water generating tank (5). When the tap water is allowed to flow in the first branch pipe (P2), cold water is generated in the cold water generating tank (3). Also, when the tap water is allowed to flow in the second branch pipe (P3), the tap water is softened by the ion exchange device (4), and is further heated in the hot water generating tank (5). Therefore, not only cold water can be supplied but also hot water from which mineral components are removed can be supplied.

    摘要: A two-vessel liquid separation apparatus includes a pump and its motor submersed in a one vessel and a reverse osmosis membrane in the other vessel. The vessels are separated by a contiguous dividing wall. The membrane and the pump are in fluid communication with one another through the dividing wall so as to allow liquid to pass from one vessel to the other in accordance with a given geometry. The pump receives liquid from the membrane containing vessel through holes in the dividing wall, the pump creating a highly turbulent flow caused by a cyclonic and co-axial effect, directly at the lower end of the membrane; the connexion of the pump outlet at the dividing wall is very close to the membrane thus providing an optimal efficiency of turbulence and flow at critical locations of bacteria collection. The injection of new liquid to be concentrated at the inlet of the pump causes an immediate mixture of liquid to be concentrated with concentrated liquid, which mixture circulates rapidly in a close circuit between the first and second vessels.
