    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support uplink (UL) transmit (Tx) switch operations. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes transmitting a user equipment (UE) capability that indicates multiple bands including a first set of bands and a second set of bands, each of the first set of bands and the second set of bands available for a UL Tx switch configuration. The first set of bands may be a pair of bands or a group of one or more bands. The method also includes receiving the UL Tx switch configuration for the first set of bands or the second set of bands, and transmitting an uplink message via the first set of bands or the second set of bands indicated by the UL Tx switch configuration. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications and capability signaling for enhanced handover processes are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a source base station, a band combination indicator to indicate at least one band combination supported by the UE. The source base station may transmit a source base station configuration and at least one band combination supported by the UE to a target base station for use during a handover procedure. The target base station may then transmit to the source base station, a target base station configuration to use in the handover procedure. The source base station may transmit to the UE, both base station configurations to be applied during the handover procedure which may include a number of band combinations. The UE may communicate during handover execution with both base stations using at least one band combination indicated in the received base station configurations.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A communication device, such as a user equipment (UE) may identify information for transmitting to a base station of a non-terrestrial network. The UE may identify that one or more resources allocated for transmitting the information are available based at least in part on identifying the information. The one or more resources include one or more types of uplink resources including physical random access channel (PRACH) resources or physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resources for the random access procedure, a PUSCH for a scheduling request (SR), or a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) for a configured grant, or a combination thereof As a result, the UE may transmit, to the base station, a message over the one or more resources allocated for the information based at least in part on identifying the one or more resources.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some networks, a user equipment (UE) may switch between serving beams of a transmitting device that are associated with different bandwidth parts of a radio frequency spectrum. To improve aspects of beam measurement and selection, a UE may be configured to support various techniques for beam measurement according to the different bandwidth parts. For example, a UE may receive a beam measurement configuration associated with one or more beams, and may monitor for reference signals associated with the beams using the different bandwidth parts. The UE may determine a channel quality of one or more of the beams based on the monitoring, and transmit a beam measurement report to the network in accordance with the beam measurement configuration. In some examples, such a report may be transmitted based on the UE determining that an event condition is satisfied.

A user equipment (UE) and a satellite of a non-terrestrial network (NTN) may establish communications on a beam of the satellite. The UE may receive, on a first carrier of a first set of carriers associated with a first beam, a configuration for the first set of carriers associated with the first beam and a second set of carriers associated with a second beam. The first carrier may be used to send a first set of synchronization signals, and a second carrier of the second set of carriers may be used to send a second set of synchronization signals. The UE may identify some system information associated with the second set of carriers based on the configuration and reselect to the second beam based on the configuration.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for establishing rules for scheduling downlink data transmissions and flow control feedback for the downlink data transmissions to avoid confusion at a base station and a user equipment (UE). In one example, when flow control feedback from a UE is disabled for a downlink data transmission, the UE may still operate according to a timing for reporting flow control feedback for the downlink data transmission. In this example, the UE may drop (e.g., refrain from decoding) other downlink data transmissions based on the timing for reporting flow control feedback. In another example, when flow control feedback from a UE is disabled for a downlink data transmission, other downlink data transmissions to the UE may be scheduled according to one or more rules to avoid confusion.
