Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described for relayed sidelink communications in which a set of relays receives a groupcast sidelink communication from a source and relay the communication to a destination using cooperative multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) techniques. A source, such as a source user equipment (UE), may reserve resources for the groupcast sidelink communication and the cooperative MIMO transmissions, and may transmit a resource reservation message with an indication of the reserved resources. The resource reservation message may be transmitted in a sidelink control information transmission, in a medium access control message, or any combinations thereof. In the event of a collision in reserved resources of multiple different sources, the sources or relays may determine a priority of each communication and transmit a selected communication based on the priority determination.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications and waveform type switching are described. If a user equipment (UE) receives an indication to switch waveform type after transmitting a first portion of a set of uplink messages, the UE may use a different waveform type to transmit a remaining portion of the set of uplink messages. If one or more conditions are satisfied at the UE, then the UE may transmit, to a network entity, a request to change the waveform type used for uplink transmissions by the UE. The UE may determine a waveform type to use for an uplink transmission as part of a random access procedure based on information included in a downlink transmission that is received as part of the random access procedure.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A device may identify a transport block (TB) size for a TB that is scheduled across a set of component carriers (CCs) including a first CC and a second CC. The TB may include a first code block (CB) and a second CB. The device may rate match the TB with the set of CCs. Based on the rate matching, the device may identify redundancy portions of the first CB and redundancy portions of the second CB. The device may allocate a first redundancy portion of the first CB and a first redundancy portion of the second CB to the first CC, and may allocate a second redundancy portion of the first CB and a second redundancy portion of the second CB to the second CC. The device may transmit the TB over the set of CCs based on the allocating.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine that multiple physical uplink channels scheduled for the UE overlap. The multiple physical uplink channels may include a first physical uplink channel and a second physical uplink channel that are associated with different priority levels. The UE may transmit at least one of the first physical uplink channel or the second physical uplink channel according to a prioritization or a multiplexing of the first physical uplink channel and the second physical uplink channel. The prioritization or the multiplexing is based at least in part on whether the UE is enabled to perform simultaneous physical uplink control channel and physical uplink shared channel transmissions. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for a user equipment (UE) receiving a first transmission scheduling resources for a second transmission having a first priority. The UE may determine that one or more symbols of the second transmission are to be unused due to receipt of a cancellation indication or due to identifying a conflict, for example, with higher priority resources. Based on determining that the symbols are to be unused, the UE may determine that the base station will not reschedule the unused resources for another transmission, for example, having the first priority. The UE and the base station may communicate based on the determination.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that provide for reduced timing between certain downlink communications and responsive uplink communications relative to certain legacy systems (e.g., legacy LTE systems). A user equipment (UE) or base station may be capable of operating using two or more timing configurations that each include an associated time period between receipt of a downlink communication (e.g., a grant of uplink resources or shared channel data) and a responsive uplink communication (e.g., an uplink transmission using the granted uplink resources or feedback of successful reception of the shared channel data). In cases where a UE or base station are capable of two or more timing configurations, a timing configuration for a transmission may be determined and the responsive uplink communication transmitted according to the determined timing configuration.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit, to a base station, a report that includes measurements associated with one or more downlink reference signals that are received using a set of candidate downlink beams. The UE may transmit one or more uplink reference signals using a set of candidate uplink beams. The UE may receive, from the base station, information that indicates, among the set of candidate downlink beams and the set of candidate uplink beams, a best uplink beam to use for one or more uplink transmissions. For example, the base station may select the best uplink beam based at least in part on the measurements associated with the one or more downlink reference signals and measurements associated with the one or more uplink reference signals. Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may provide hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback for multiple physical channels (e.g., multiple physical downlink shared channels (PDSCH)) scheduled via multi-component carrier. The UE may monitor control channel occasions (e.g., physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) occasions), to receive wireless communications from a base station (e.g., a next-generation NodeBs (gNB)). For example, the UE may receive multiple downlink control information (DCI) messages that may schedule multiple PDSCH over different component carriers. The UE may identify one or multiple downlink assignment indices (DAI) in the received DCI messages. In some examples, the UE may generate one or more feedback bits of a HARQ feedback codebook (also referred to as an acknowledgement codebook). The one or more feedback bits include a same number of feedback bits for each downlink assignment index associated with each DCI message.
