摘要: An integrated circuit device includes a fin at least partially embedded in a shallow trench isolation (STI) region and extending between a source and a drain. The fin is formed from a first semiconductor material and having a trimmed portion between first and second end portions. A cap layer, which is formed from a second semiconductor material, is disposed over the trimmed portion of the fin to form a high mobility channel. A gate electrode structure is formed over the high mobility channel and between the first and second end portions.

摘要: An exemplary flat heat pipe includes a hollow, flattened casing and a first wick structure and a second wick structure received in the casing. The casing includes a top plate and a bottom plate opposite to the top plate. The first wick structure is formed by weaving wires, and the second wick structure is made of sintered metal powder. The first and second wick structures are disposed at inner sides of the bottom and top plates of the casing, respectively. The first and second wick structures contact each other. The casing defines two vapor channels at opposite lateral sides of the combined first and second wick structures, respectively. A method for manufacturing the heat pipe is also provided.

摘要: A heat pipe includes an elongated tube, a wick structure arranged on an inner wall of the tube, and a working fluid filled in the tube. The wick structure defines elongated liquid channels for condensed working fluid flowing therethrough. An elongated vapor channel is defined in the tube for vaporized working fluid flowing therethrough. The vapor channel is spaced from the liquid channels by the wick structure.

摘要: A thermoelectric generating apparatus is provided which includes a first and a second thermoelectric (TE) devices. The first TE device and the second TE device have an electrical junction surface that is an interdigitated junction interface. The Seebeck coefficient of the first TE device is more than that of the second TE device. The first TE device includes a first extended portion, and the second TE device includes a second extended portion. The first extended portion is electrically connected with a first power output end with a first contact surface formed therebetween, and the area of the electrical junction surface is larger than that of the first contact surface. The second extended portion is electrically connected with a second power output end with a second contact surface formed therebetween, and the area of the electrical junction surface is larger than that of the second contact surface.

摘要: An exemplary flat heat pipe with an evaporator section and a condenser section includes a hollow casing, and a first wick structure and a second wick structure in the casing. The second structure contacts an inner surface of the casing at the evaporator section. The first structure at the evaporator section includes a first contact portion contacting an inner surface of the second structure, and a first isolated portion from the inner surface of the second structure. The first isolated portion and the inner surface of the second structure define a first channel therebetween. The first structure at the condenser section includes a second contact portion contacting the inner surface of the casing, and a second isolated portion from the inner surface of the casing. The second isolated portion and the inner surface of the casing define therebetween a second channel communicating with the first channel.

摘要: A circuit and a method for image processing are provided. The image processing circuit has an adaptor and a sharpening circuit. The adaptor has a processing unit and a weight generator. The processing unit receives an input video signal, and the input video signal has information of a plurality of pixels. The processing unit processes the input video signal to calculate a color difference value of a target pixel of the pixels. The weight generator generates a weighting signal according to the color difference value. The sharpening circuit performs a sharpening operation on the input video signal according to the weighting signal to generate a sharpened video signal.
