摘要: A device measures or controls a change of a level or a variation in a change of a level between several points. The device includes closed vessels (2) placed respectively at each of the points. The vessels are partially filled with a liquid (53) and are connected by liquid pipes emerging in their lower portion so as to form a liquid circuit (31) and by gas pipes emerging in their upper portion so as to form a gas circuit (36). Each vessel is equipped with a capacitive proximity sensor (11) placed above and at a distance from the upper surface (54) of the liquid which it contains and which provides a signal with respect to position in the vertical direction of a zone of the upper surface of the liquid in the vessel. A device comprises the signals provided by the sensors so as to be able to provide data with respect to the vertical position of the vessels and, consequently, with respect to the points relative to one another or relative to a reference vertical position.

摘要: An ultrasonic bin level control circuit which employs a fail-safe circuit to shut off a compressor when echoes are late or absent, and a transducer mounting system which facilitates installation and removal of a transducer for servicing and cleaning. A level detector compares a reference signal with a reflected signal, the ice reaching a desired level when the reflected signal overlaps the reference signal. When the desired level is reached, the reference signal is modified through feedback to prevent short cycling of the compressor. The transducer is installed within a cylindrical housing which is easily installed and removed from a cylindrical socket within a compartment above the bin.

摘要: An automatic ultrasonic system for controlling the filling of different sizes of beverage containers which may or may not contain various quantities of ice. The system includes a transducer assembly and a control module, both preferably connected to a beverage dispenser valve assembly. The transducer assembly includes at least two piezo-electric crystals for separately transmitting and receiving ultrasonic wave energy from the grate, the cup lip, the top of any ice in the cup, and the rising liquid level, and for generating signals corresponding to the travel time of the ultrasonic energy. The control module includes a microcomputer and associated circuitry. The system can include two separate transmitter and receiver crystals, or in a preferred embodiment two transmitter-receiver pairs of crystals.

摘要: A liquid level controller for a waterpan-type spray booth. The controller comprises a normally-open first air pressure sensor and switch for detecting a minimum level of negative static pressure through the restricted opening indicative of ventilation fan operation and for closing the first air pressure sensor and switch to thereby permit a voltage output. A normally-closed second air pressure sensor and switch is provided for sensing a predetermined negative static pressure level indicative of a minimum adequate air flow through the restricted opening for opening the second air pressure sensor and switch to interrupt a current flow through the second sensor and switch. The normally-closed second air pressure sensor is normally closed by the voltage output from the normally-open first air pressure sensor and switch. The first and the second air pressure sensor and switch are operatively connected to a water supply valve. A decrease in negative static pressure resulting from a drop in water level in the water pan and a consequent increase in the size of the restricted opening defined by the water level and washing enclosure returns the normally-closed second air pressure sensor and switch to its normally-closed state. This permits opening of the water supply valve to raise the water level in the water pan. This decreases the size of the restricted opening and increases the negative static pressure to re-open the normally-closed second air pressure sensing and switching means and close the water supply valve.

摘要: The evacuation of foul smelling gases from the interior of a toilet bowl is effected by a fan which is driven by an electric motor and conveys the gases from the bowl through a control chamber in the flushing tank and into an evacuating conduit which is connected to the drain pipe. The motor is started in response to closing of a master switch which is distinct and preferably remote from an actuating knob which must be lifted or otherwise moved in order to enable a body of flushing liquid to flow from the tank into the bowl. A siphon is provided to permit liquid to flow from the interior of the control chamber into the interior of the flushing tank in response to rising pressure in the control chamber. Such pressure, which rises in response to starting of the motor, causes a lowering of the liquid level in a portion of the control chamber and a rise of the liquid level in another portion of the control chamber so as to establish in the siphon a continuous column of liquid which flows by gravity from the control chamber into the flushing tank so as not to waste the liquid which normally seals the inlet for gaseous fluid from the outlet for gaseous fluid in the control chamber.

摘要: In a drainage system for maintaining a swimming pool cover drained of accumulated precipitation, a pump with its intake is disposed in a fluid trap defined by an upper surface of the swimming pool cover. A discharge port of the pump is disposed outside of the fluid trap. A sensor is disposed in a flow path of the pump for detecting the presence of fluid flow therethrough, while a clock unit is operatively connected to the pump for periodically operating the pump for a ten-second interval. A control circuit continues to operate the pump beyond the ten-second interval upon the detection by the sensor of fluid flow through the pump at the end of the ten-second interval. In that case, operation of the pump is terminated only upon a cease of fluid flow through the pump.
