摘要: A vane, for a projectile such as an archery arrow, including a ribbon strip having a leading ribbon edge that is twisted to induce spin of the projectile during its flight. The vane can include a base that mounts to a projectile surface. The ribbon strip can extend upward from the base and can be semi-rigid but flexible. The ribbon strip can include an intermediate portion spaced a distance from and free from attachment to the projectile surface so as to form a gap under the intermediate portion. The ribbon strip can include a second ribbon end that is attached to the base rearward of the first end. It also can include a fin that extends upward from the base within a gap between the ribbon strip and base. The ribbon strip alternatively can include a cantilevered second ribbon end that is free from attachment to the base and projectile.

摘要: A lighted nock assembly may include an LED/battery assembly, a nock, a housing and a sleeve. The housing can be releasably coupled within the center opening of the nock sleeve and resist longitudinal translation of the battery relative to the nock sleeve. The nock translates longitudinally with respect to the nock sleeve between an activated configuration that activates the LED portion and a deactivated configuration that deactivates the LED portion without removing the LED/battery assembly from the nock sleeve.

摘要: A nock insert may have an axis of elongation defining an axial direction and radial directions, a bowstring reception surface adapted to receive a bowstring, and an insert portion adapted for insertion into an arrow body. The nock insert may have one or more centering features having one or more spring tabs. Each spring tab may have a first end attached to the insert portion and a second free end extending axially from the first end and having a contact surface. The contact surfaces of each spring tab may be inherently biased outwardly in a radial direction and adapted to be radially deflected upon insertion of the insert portion into the arrow body.

The tracking system comprises a hand-held transmitter operated by a user and a receiving module embedded in an arrow. 摘要: The high straightness arrow in the present invention is designed to improve the straightness of the archery arrow by adopting new manufacturing technique and method. Chamber and post are made of dissimilar metals and the chamber includes a wall that creates an external housing and defines an internal airspace. Once the post with shaft is positioned through chamber, nuts are tightened securely, forming an assembly, to straighten post. Due to the different coefficients of thermal expansion of chamber and post, when they are heated simultaneously, the chamber expands more than the post, creating a natural tension along post which results in a near perfectly straight shaft. As the assembly cools, the post and chamber return to their original length, yet the shaft retains its straightened form and thus this manufacturing process yields an arrow shaft that is straighter than shafts made of the same materials but with a traditional manufacturing technique.

摘要: A high impact strength nock assembly that couples with, and decouples from, a bushing mounted in an arrow. The forces applied to the nock during launch are translated to the arrow through the bushing, greatly extending arrow life. For lighted nock applications, the nock translates within the bushing during launch to activate the light. A battery stop is coupled to the battery and releasably coupled within the center opening of the bushing that resists longitudinal translation of the battery relative to the bushing. Consequently, the light can be deactivated without removing the lighted nock assembly from the bushing. The entire lighted nock assembly is removable from the bushing for maintenance and replacement.
