The output power control apparatus includes an intake pipe (7) for supplying intake air to an internal combustion engine (6) mounted on a motor vehicle, a throttle valve (8) installed in the intake pipe (7) for regulating an amount of the intake air supplied to the engine (6), a throttle actuator (9) for adjusting an opening degree (.theta.) of the throttle valve (8), a transmission (13) for transmitting output power of the engine (6) to a wheel system of the motor vehicle, a shift information detecting means for detecting shift of the transmission (13) to thereby generate shift information (SR), an accelerator sensor (2) for detecting a accelerator pedal actuation quantity (.alpha.) which corresponds to a depression stroke of an accelerator pedal (1), and a throttle control means (15A, 15B, 15C) for setting a control quantity (C) for the throttle actuator (9) on the basis of at least the shift information (SR) and the accelerator pedal actuation quantity (.alpha.), wherein the throttle control means (15A, 15B, 15C) incorporates a control quantity suppressing means (16, 16B, 16C) for suppressing the control quantity (C) at least over a predetermined time period succeeding to shift operation of the transmission (13) when the shift information (SR) indicates the shift operation of the transmission (13) from the neutral range (N range) to the drive range (D range).

    摘要: To optimize the application hydraulic pressure of the friction application elements in the transmission mechanism, and to reduce the unnecessary load on each member, the transmission mechanism of an automatic transmission is provided with a plurality of friction application elements which are applied simultaneously in order to achieve the designated gear stage, and hydraulic servos which operate the friction application elements independently. The control apparatus has an information detecting means, an input torque calculating means which calculates the input torque of the transmission mechanism on the basis of this information, an application hydraulic pressure calculating means which calculates the necessary application hydraulic pressure required to maintain the application of each individual friction application element on the basis of the input torque, and a supply means which supplies the necessary application hydraulic pressure to the hydraulic servos of the friction application elements. The supply means makes the hydraulic pressure supplied to each hydraulic servo the necessary application hydraulic pressure calculated for each friction application element independently when achieving the designated gear stage.

    摘要: A control system for an automatic transmission operates a clutch in a speed change unit to disconnect a transmission mechanism from a fluid transmission unit during a neutral operating state while the vehicle in a forward gear is held stopped by braking with the throttle fully closed. Reengagement of the clutch such as by depression of accelerator pedal (throttle open), release of the brake pedal, etc., is produced by a gradual increase in oil pressure to the servo operating the clutch to prevent clutch application shock. Wear on the clutch is reduced by abrupt increase of the oil pressure in response to satisfaction of a clutch engagement completion condition based upon input RPM, output RPM and the gear ratio of the target gear. In one embodiment, this abrupt increase occurs immediately after satisfaction of the clutch engagement completion condition when the throttle is open but occurs after elapse of a set time period from satisfaction of the clutch engagement completion condition when the throttle is closed. In a second embodiment when the throttle is closed, an application standby condition based on the input RPM, the output RPM and the gear ratio indicating backward vehicle movement is determined after the clutch engagement completion condition is satisfied. If backward movement is indicated, the abrupt increase in oil pressure is made after a set time period, otherwise the abrupt increase occurs immediately. In a third embodiment, a second clutch engagement completion condition requirement is substituted for the delay of the set time period of the second embodiment to prevent application shock during the clutch engagement.

    摘要: An automatic transmission includes a plurality of power transmitting gear trains making up a combination of forward power transmitting paths that can be selected one at a time, a plurality of frictional engaging elements for selecting one of the forward power transmitting paths at a time, and a one-way clutch for establishing a lowest-speed gear position among the forward power transmitting paths. When a gear shift is to be made from a neutral gear range to a forward gear range, one of the frictional engaging elements which is mechanically coupled to the one-way clutch is preliminarily engaged. When the gear shift can be made from the neutral gear range to the forward gear range, one of the frictional engaging elements for establishing the starting gear position starts being engaged, and thereafter those frictional engaging elements which are not necessary to establish the starting gear position are released. Because the frictional engaging element is mechanically coupled to the one-way clutch is preliminarily engaged, vibrations produced upon rotation of the one-way clutch are reliably suppressed when the gear shift is made from the neutral gear range to the forward gear range.

    摘要: An automatic transmission control apparatus has a clutch, a hydraulic servo for the clutch, a fluid pressure control unit, a range shift detector, and an electronic control unit. The fluid pressure control unit has a manual valve, a pressure regulating valve device, and a changeover valve device. The electronic control unit controls the changeover valve device and the pressure regulating valve device. Immediately after a shift to the forward driving range, the electronic control unit holds the changeover valve device in such a state that a forward driving range pressure is supplied without passing through the pressure regulating valve device. Then, the electronic control unit shifts the changeover valve device to such a state that a regulated pressure is supplied from the pressure regulating valve device, which has been switched to a pressure regulating state by the electronic control unit. This control operation precisely sets the fluid pressure changeover timing and the initial fluid pressure.

The control unit releases the clutch by reducing the engaging force of the clutch when the stopped state of the vehicle is detected by the stopped state detecting means. The engine RPM when the clutch is released is stored as an initial engine RPM in storage means so that a neutral ending engine RPM is set on the basis of the initial engine RPM. The clutch is applied by strengthening its application force if the stopped state of the vehicle is not detected when the clutch is released and if the engine RPM exceeds the neutral ending engine RPM.
